Lavi's POV

The doctor has been in there for over thirty minutes now and am beginning to get really impatient.

I wonder what's going on there!

I continued to pace around waiting for him to make an appearance at the door or even call for me but the more I wait, the harder it is for me to stop worrying.

What if he is not able to wake her up?

No; I'm sure he can...

I got tired of waiting and was on the verge of pushing the door open when I almost collided with the doctor at the door way.

Damn!

"I was just about to come get you" he stepped away from the door and closed it gently behind him as well.

"Is...is Katherine finally awake now?" I asked eagerly staring up at him.

"Yes she is awake now"

Dear God!

I could feel my whole being going through some sort of emotions and it can only be gratitude to God for not taking her from me..

She is alive!

I was so excited that I didn't even realize when I threw myself at him in a tight embrace. He was tense for a moment before his body began to relax but he didn't hug me back.

I peeled myself off him as I shifted under his gaze.

"I'm sorry. I was just overwhelmed with emotions" I murmured at him.

"It's okay... I understand" he shrugged.

I tried to by pass him at the entrance but he quickly stood in my way.

What now?

"I will like to have a few words with you before you can go in and see her because she is already asking for you as expected"

I almost smiled at the thought of her wanting to see me as soon as she wakes up but I couldn't help but wonder what he could be meaning to talk to me about.

"You mean right now?" Glancing at the door and back at him.

Being impatient at this point would be an understatement. I was dying to get a glimpse of her and to make sure she is okay.

"I'll be quick" he insisted.

This better be worth it!

We stepped away from the door way as I leaned against the wall with my arms crossing my chest.

"You already proved that you can do anything just to be with my daughter and I admire that about you. You remind me so much of myself when I was young and that's why am asking you to take her home because they is no need for her to be here anymore"
