Hope looked through the newspapers, if only she could actually get a decent job at some point— she haven't settled for anything nice when her parents went bankrupt and their bakery needed to close down. She has an apartment to pay, a boyfriend to settle with, and a damn job to find.
This is going to be way rougher than what she had initially thought.
❝ Honey, I'm home. ❞ A voice from behind her said, she was only looking at the far distance of her window. The view wasn't even nice, nothing is even sparing her but only her loved ones. Money may not have a heart, or a soul, but in this world? It's a must. If only she could blame Tiana from Princess and the Frog for that reference.
The presence of said man loomed over hers as he gave her a lazy back hug, she could feel how tired he was. How come was she committed to a relationship when she knew damn well she isn't making a penny? Love can wait, but she chose the other way thinking of sappy happy endings.
If only it could be happy accidents.
He kissed her jaw sloppily and settled his chin on her shoulder, she heaved out a sigh and casted her gaze down. If only she'd have a job that could pay their expenses, they wouldn't have to worry of the thought of what comes tomorrow. ❝ You okay? ❞
She forced out a smile,
❝ Of course. ❞
