Hope and Ophelia were standing right beside Tony.
They were called in by Dr. Cho and Bruce the day before, three days after Tony confessed to Hope in which she rejected. Everyday she found herself calling her fiancé, it is a way to build up the falling pieces her heart seem to loose. And with Natasha's advice, it had somehow help her fix things with Alexander.
But now, she focused on the news that will be of matter at hand.
❝ Now this, is Tony's spinal chord. In here we can see that his spinal nerve has been compresse having degenerative changes and bone spurs on this side. Now, of course we did escort him to the proper treatment for Spinal Stenosis and he's exercising regularly with his crutches through walking though. . ❞ Dr. Cho trailed off, looking at Bruce for help.
The other science brother sighed, ❝ Further examinations had us discovered that the compression of his spinal nerve started Tony to loose the feeling of his legs. The report just came in last week when he texted me, we thought it is because of developmental causes as it usually is from it being Lumbar but it was getting worse. If we leave it untreated, he'll be most likely be paralyzed or worse. . ❞
Ophelia ran a nervous hand through her hair, eyes alert and wide as she looked at the two doctors in front of her, ❝ What are you trying to say? He's not healing is that it? What about other therapies? Does this need surgery of sort? ❞
❝ Yes we do have a surgery for that, it's called Decompressive Laminectomy that is to relief the leg pain and we can have Spinal Fusions just so it would stabilize his spine. ❞ Dr. Cho said, Ophelia raised a brow.
Huffing out as she crossed her arms, ❝ Then you have your answer! Do it! ❞
❝ I don't want them to do it, Ophelia. ❞
Tony's reply had the whole room freezing, Hope gasped at his cold reply as she looked at Ophelia who looked hurt. The small British looked at him in disbelief, ❝ What are you talking about, Tony?! You're an avenger, they need you! ❞
❝ It's my choice, I'm leaving the team. ❞
And with that Ophelia left the scene, Hope was there standing beside him but he saw her in his peripheral vision. He saw the following tears that fell freely from her face. He wanted to look strong, but when Hope left too— he found himself breaking down.
