❝ Honey? When are you coming back home?  ❞

Alexander's voice in the other end had Hope sighing, she wanted to go home badly. She remembered the first time he called her and asked the same thing, telling her how he had missed her so badly and so did their pets that missed her presence.

But at the same time, she doesn't want to go home. She wanted to stay with Tony, the man who was funny enough to play a card game with her, the man who can share and teach her a few things she doesn't know. Asides from his cocky self and obnoxiously annoying feature, he was just as fine.

Great even.

❝ Soon, Alexander. I'll be home real soon, ❞ She said, seconds of silence filled her ears as she wanted to gasp out realizing she had call her lover his first name. Is something wrong? She felt like something is,

A heavy sigh came from the other end,  ❝ Is something wrong there, Hon? ❞

❝ Nothing at all, Lex. I'm just tired is all. ❞ She said, not bothering to say sorry. But no, this is not how things should be. She should bother to apologize, she should be guilty, she should be going back home.

But no, she did none of those.

Why is she like this? Her lover had stood up with her amongst all of the harsh reality that happened, he helped her and he was there for her. Through the feeling of poverty and now to stabilization— he was there and yet she's acting so selfish like that.

❝ Alright honey, get as much sleep okay? I don't want you to lose much energy, you said it's going to be Captain America's birthday tomorrow right? I'll be calling you tomorrow morning, Don't be so stressed out– hon. I love you.  ❞

And she ended the call right there, crying herself tears of guilt, cursing at herself for being like that.
