Back at the abandoned one room apartment Selina was squatting in, we started to get into a row.

"What were you thinking?!" She breathed, glaring at me as she paced back and forth, "Are you completely insane?"

I folded my arms, "It's not a big deal, Selina. He was gonna grass on us, did you really want that?"

"In that case, then, what about the girl?" She retorted.

I shrugged, "Boys are brats. I don't care about the girl-"

"Jemma!" Cutting me off, Selina yelled my name as she threw her whip on the bed. Her tone lowered to a shakey whisper as she stepped closer to me, "I would never have brought you there if I knew you were going to do that."

"Selina, you need to chill-"

"You are just like your brothers." She grumbled, her eyes slightly watery as she stepped away.

I brought my arms down to my sides, my hands rolled into fists, "Excuse me?!" How dare she compare me to my brothers. Though I could take it as a compliment, I decided to let things swing the other way. I started walking towards her, my eyes steadily locked onto her, "Don't you dare speak about my brothers."

As I went to throw a punch at her, she blocked it and threw one back at me in return, followed by a swift kick in my gut.

I groaned in pain, falling back slightly before getting up and trying again.

I threw another punch, this time aiming for her jaw, and succeeded, but was then met with her foot as she booted me to the floor.

I coughed, my heart racing and my vision slightly blurry as we both stopped in our tracks, hearing a loud knocking on the door.

I looked up at Selina, and she looked back at me.

"Hide." She mouthed.

I got up, collecting myself together, as I searched for a hiding spot.

"GCPD, open up." We heard a man call from the other side of the door.

There weren't many possible places to hide in that small singular room, but I was finally able to squeeze into a tight space behind some chester drawers in the darkened corner of the room.

I kept my head down and remained silent as I heard Selina walking towards the door.

"What do you want?" She questioned the man.

"I have some questions I need to ask you," The man said, walking in and taking a deep breath, "There was a robbery last night. Big rich house, maybe you know them?"

Selina replied nonchalantly, "Nope, sorry, don't think I can help ya there."

"There was a murder." He quickly stated, "A young girl described you being there, or at least, someone who looks similar to you. With a redhead... Where is Ivy?"

"Ivy Pepper?" Selina wondered, "I'm not sure, I haven't seen her in a while-"

"Cut the crap Selina, I know you and Ivy are friends, and I know it was you two who killed that little boy, now tell me what I want to know." The man interrupted, his voice rusty with anger.

Selina's tone changed, too. She responded sternly, "I don't know what you're talking about. Now leave my place and don't come back without a real reason of being here."

There was a slight pause, and I began to worry as the only thing I could hear was the sound of my own breathing; which I'd hoped wasn't loud enough for them both to hear.

After a moment, I heard the man walk back towards the door, muttering, "I'll come back, Selina. I'm getting a warrant to search this place, and you and your little friend will find yourselves in Blackgate."

Blackgate Penitentiary was a prison facility located on a small island in Gotham Bay where only sane criminals get sent. I guess I was lucky to be placed in Arkham Asylum rather than Blackgate.

"Bye-bye." Selina replied as she closed the door after him. The smile apparent in her voice.

I breathed a sigh of relief, standing from my hiding spot.

"That was a close one."
