6 hours later

Micky's POV

Mike still wasn't back from his short walk. I was starting to get a little worried. He should have been back hours ago.

Pete had fallen asleep on the couch waiting for Mike to appear through the door but he never came. Davy was in his and Peter's room. So it just left me. The only one awake and worrying about my best friend. Where could he be? I thought to myself.

I'll go look for him. I again thought to myself. I better leave a note for the boys so they know where I went.

After leaving a note for them, i left out the door to find Mike. I knew which trail he walked to clear his head so that's where I decided to look for him.

Nothing.

Wait............Is that..............it is..............its Mike's wool hat. He would never take it off. Heck. He even sleeps with it on. That's when it dawned on me that something happened to him. I took the trail back to the pad to find Peter and Davy talking at the table.

"Micky where were you?" Davy stood and walked up to me.

"I went to look for Mike."

"Did you find him?" Peter asked.

"Petah, if Micky found Mike, he would be standing with Micky. Don't you think?" Davy glared at Peter then turned his attention to Micky again.

"Davy's right. I didn't find him. But I do know where he's been. He told me about a trail that he goes on that's near here, so he can clear his head if anything is bothering him. He took me there once so I kinda knew where it was. Anyway, I found this."

I pulled out the wool hat and Davy took it from me wide-eyed not knowing what to say.

"What happened to him Micky?" Peter had yet another look of concern on his face.

"I'm not sure. But one thing I am sure of is we will find him. We always find our monkee brothers when one of us goes missing. Remember that one time that Peter went missing in the middle of our gig? Or the time you Davy were kidnapped and you were almost forced to marry a princess? And then when I was kidnapped by Dragon man, Peter risked his life to make sure I was okay and then when we both were about to die, Mike and Davy saved us then too." I reminded them.

"So it's our turn to save Mike." Peter had a smile growing on his face.

"Right you are Pete. Now, we need a plan."

"But wait. We don't even know where he is or who took him." Davy say down on the couch.

"No but we always, always have a way of finding out. And we will. Believe me." I said reassuring my best friends.

"Okay." Peter sighed as he walked over to Mike's guitar and glared at it for a while.

"First of all, we need to find out who all has a grudge against Mike if anyone does."

Davy snapped his finger and pointed at me. "What about that phone call the other day to Mike."

"I think Mike said his name was Arnold Rigger or something like that. We need to find someone who could help us run a background check on him."

"I got a friend who's a cop. She could help us." Davy ran to the phone and dialed her number. "Hey luv. Its David Jones. Me and my friends need your help. We need a background check on someone. Will you help us out? That's great. We think his name is Arnold Rigger but no guarantee if that's the correct name. You got it? That's great. Okay what's it say? Okay thanks luv." He hung up the reciever.

"So what happened?" Peter asked.

"Well, the name Arnold Riggers is an alias. His real name is Justin Marcos. When Mike was on the phone with him, he said he was in the air force and served with Mike. That much was true. My lady friend worked there too and she worked closely with Mike. Something happened, but I'm not sure what. He has had a grudge on him ever since. Looks like he is finally getting payback."

"Did he speak about what happened to anyone?" I spoke hoping for one of them to tell me. But they both just shook their heads no.

"Maybe he stole her girlfriend."

"Pete, Mike wouldn't do that. He's the shy type around girls. I can't see h ik m stealing someone else's girl." Micky thought for a moment. Then he said: "Hey. I got it. Mike kept a journal from when he was in the air force." I began to run up the spiral staircase. "He might have what happened in there."

I came back down a few minutes later with the notebook in hand skimming over the words on each page. "Ah. Here we go. It says that Justin blamed Mike for the killing of his friend. Several times Mike had gotten several threatening phone calls in the past year. This was dated 1964. In 1965 the calls stopped completely. This was when he was already honorably discharged. Looks like he kept a record of those phone calls."

"That's harassment. Why didn't Mike report him?" Peter gave a confused look at Micky.

"I'm not sure Pete. Maybe he had a reason. But that was 3 years ago. So Mike probably forgot about it by now."
