Peter's POV

Mike was only defending all of us and trying to protect us. Not to mention, he's done his time with these guys. Why won't they just leave that guy alone? Are they not done with him?

"So, why dont you leave Mike alone? Seriously, I thought you guys were done with him."

"Well, that's exactly what we want. We want you all to think we are done with Mike  and that we are going to strike you and the others and leave Mike alone. See, he shouldn't have escaped those several times he did. It just made the situation worse for himself."

"You dont plan to kill him do you?"

"Not me. No. But some other people want to take the pleasure in killing your buddy."

"He doesn't need this. He's been through enough stress in the past couple months. Why can't you just leave him alone?"

"Because we choose not to."

"What do you have against him?"

"I get paid to do it. That's why I'm doing it. I'm doing it for that money. Not to mention, I would love to get back at all four of you."

"Its me you want doctor. Not Mike. Your beef is with me!"

"I know that. That' basically why I took you instead of your short friend."

"Look, just please don't hurt Mike. He is just trying to protect his friends." I pleaded hoping Dr. Markavich would listen to what I had to say.

"I'll be sure to tell the boss." Dr. Markavich sounded a bit sarcastic as he said that. So, I wasn't sure if I should believe him or not.

Back at the Pad

Mike decided to call in the cops again. It's not something he likes doing. But in this case, he has no choice. He is just getting a bit tired of these people that are after him. He needed to call the cops before he began killing his own enemies.

"What does your friend look like?" The officer began.

"Well, he's about 5'10, got light brown hair, and sort of uh, grey green eyes. The last thing he was wearing was a red plaid shirt with blue jeans. Well, that was the last outfit we saw him in."

"Okay. And what did you say his name was?"

"Peter Tork. Here's a recent picture of him." Mike handed the picture to the officer.

"Okay. I'll see what I can do. For now, try not to get into any more trouble."

"No guarantee. Thanks anyways officer."

The cop left and Davy turned to both Mike and Micky who were now standing right next to each other and said to them: "He was big help."

"Hey. Maybe he will actually do something. Maybe he will actually hel find Peter." Micky said walking back to the couch and sitting down with his head burried in his hands.

"Come on guys. Let's go look for him." Mike said heading to the front door and opening it as the other 2 monkees followed him out the door.

It took several hours before they each found where Peter was being held.

"Mike, what if its a trap?"

"Davy, what makes you think this is a trap?"

"Well, look what happened last time. The last time we tried to save one of us, Micky got caught."

"Well, its a risk I am willing to take. I told Peter that nothing is going to happen to him."

"You really need to stop promising things like that buddy."

"Okay. Is everyone ready to go in?" Mike said putting his hand on the door knob.

"No. But that hasn't stopped us. Let's get this over with." Micky said walking over to the door and opening it.

Davy followed right behind Micky as Mike held the door open. Once they were all inside, the door shut and made a loud screeching sound as it closed. Micky was getting a bit nervous now.

Micky's POV

When is this going to end for all of us? We really need to get new friends. But before we do, we need to find Peter. I'm betting he's terrified. Being there all alone. He doesn't need this. He's too fragile.

I walked ahead of the guys. Davy was behind me followed by Mike. Poor guy. Mike had been so worried about us. He doesnt even care about what happens to himself. He just cares about us. He needs to care about himself as well. not just us.

"This way." I heard the tall Texan said as he turned to the left and through a corridor. I followed behind Davy who followed behind mike.

"You sure you know which way to go?"

"I dont. I'm just going to wing it.:

"Okay. Just dont get us lost big guy." I said in hopes that Mike is smart enough to not get us lost.

"I'm not going to get us lost. I know exactly what I'm doing."

"Yeah. Dont forget we are following behind you." Davy spoke up but kept it to a whisper so no one could hear him talking.

"I know." He turned down another corridor that was on his right. I guess he did know what he was doing. It seems like he knew exactly where he was going.

"Mike, you seem to know your way around. Have you been here before?" I found myself asking.

"Well, maybe several times before. So I wont get anyone lost. Trust me." Mike said.

"When were you here?"

"It was a while ago. I was sorta snooping around. It may have been about 6 months ago."

"So, that brings up another question. What was Mr. Mike Nesmith doing in a place like this?" I ask kind of sarcastically.

"Well, its kind of a long story. I haven't spoken of it bcause I never thought it was all too important to mention. I was only here for a few minutes before I decided it wasn't safe to be here alone. I never thought I would be back again. Enough about me being here in the past."

No one's POV

Davy looked behind himself and began to walk backwards. He wasnt paying any attention to what was behind him and he walked into someone who was also walking backwards.

In the next chapter, find out who Davy runs into! Will it be someone from his past trying to kill the monkees, or will it be someone else?
