Chapter 29

"Lily wake up" A voice said panicked and someone was shaking me like crazy. I opened my eyes to see Kai standing there with a panicked look on his face  "What?" I asked sitting up looking around to see any signs of danger but there was none "The hospital called" He said confusing me since Mira came back home this morning "Why?" I asked again getting out of bed.

"Gyuri's getting worse" That woke me up completely. I changed quickly in whatever and made sure that Jooheon stayed in my room instead with the triplets before we left.

"Everything will be okay" I said taking Kai's hand in mine as we walked to Gyuri's room. He squeazed my hand as we reached the door knocking softly which was met with a come in. We walked in to see Gyuri looking horrible on the hospital bad with a IV in her hand and she had oxygen tubs in her nose helping her breath while an older woman sat on the couch with Soobin in her arms.

"You must be Soobin's father" She said getting up and walked over to us and ushered us out with Soobin still in her arms. "What happened?" Kai asked taking Soobin from her kissing his forehead "I'm Gyuri's neighber. I usually look after Soobin when she comes here to take her shots but today she was late and didn't come so I went to check up on her to find the door open and she was laying on the floor unconscious" She explained looking at Kai with sympathy.

"What did the doctors say?" I asked speaking for the first time voice almost craking. When I cursed her for ruining my life I never wanted this to acyually happen no matter what she's done she doesn't deserve this. "She doens't have long, her body is refusing the medicine" She said turning to me and looked me up and down.

"Who are you may I ask?" She asked looking between me and Kai. Who am I? That's a good question, Who am I to Kai? Who am I to Soobin? Maybe it was a mistake coming here with Kai. I have no answer to that.

"She's my wife" Kai answered when he noticed my hesitation. I looked at him shocked, why was he intreducing me as his wife again? "Oh I'm sorry dear it must've been hard on you" She said patting my arm before walking in the room. Hard? That's just a small part of what I'm feeling right now or what I've felt before.

"Go in. I have a check up in an hour anyways" I said giving Kai a small smile before walking away calling Jooheon "I'm on my way honey don't worry" He answerd before I could even ask. "What about the kids?" I asked as I sat down on the chair in the waiting room "They're with Shownu and Caroline" He answerd before saying he has to hang up because he was driving.

I'm actually very proud of myself for keeping calm through all of this and holding in my tears with the fake smiles and all. I placed my head between my hands as I finally let the tears leave  my eyes. Usually woman would blame to baby or the mother and end up doing bad things to them and god did i feel the need to do that but Soobin did nothing wrong and Gyuri is already paying for her wrongs but I don't want her to die, I already forgave her but still I feel less bad for her than I should and I feel guilty.

I felt Jooheon's prescence getting closer so I sat back up and wipped my tears off and placed that fake smile again that I've been wearing for the past week. I saw Jooheon walk over from my left and he seemed a little hesitate. "What's wrong?" I asked as he sat down beside me "Nothing don't worry" He said and pulled me closer kissing my cheek and layed my head on his shoulder looking at the clock seeing that there was about 15 minutes left till it was our turn.

"You sure?" I asked sitting up when I heard him sigh and he looked down "My parents" He said confusing me. His Parents? What's wrong with them? The last time I checked they were fine and they're really nice people and wouldn't hurt their own son. "Are they okay?" I asked placing my hand on his shoulder "They're fine it's just that they want our baby to live in our house instead of my uncles" He said looking up at me watching as my expression changed to shock.
