I never imagined life to be so beautiful yet complicated at the same time. It's been ten years since everything started and I can't be more thankful for everything even tho a lot of things were painful.

But the people I want by my side the most aren't here and they never will be. Ten years ago my parents died and that's where everything started at least in my eyes.

"So What you're saying is that I wasn't a normal human before Kai turned me?" I raised an eyebrow as I looked at Mr. Kim.

"Exactly" He said nodding his head at me.

"So what was I?" I asked looking at him confused. What the hell?

Me, Kai and Joohyun started searching for a reason as to why I was able to have two mates like the three elders sharing a female mate.

We started by looking through the guys records but they were normal half vampire half humans which doesn't mean anything now. There may be more half human half vampires these days than normal vampires.

"I don't know" mr. Kim sighed slightly in defeat looking at his watch before standing up and fixing his suit.

"I have to go now but I'll come back tomorrow with my brothers so we can talk about this more" he said placing his hand on my shoulder comfortingly as he passed by me and out of the living room.

I looked beside me at Kai who smiled at me slightly trying to comfort me which worked. I smile back but that didn't mean I wasn't worried. What if this passed down on to the kids. What if it affected them in anyway.

"Don't worry love everything will be just fine" he kissed my temple before getting up and leaving to pick up the kids from school.

No matter how busy Kai can get which sometimes prevented him from sleeping at home and stay all night in the office working he always makes sure to pick up all the kids himself.

"Mom!!!" I heard Dawn whine making me sigh. This girl is the whiniest kid I've seen when she's sick. Dawn is a spoiled kid and I admit that but she get controlling when she's sick. Especially after Davina was born, she sometimes even snap at us when we fight about having her. She's gonna make me go crazy.

I got up and went up the stairs to her room to see her laying in bed with her phone in hand. I still hate the fact that she has a phone at only 10 years old.

"What is it honey?" I asked leaning against the door frame smiling at her.

"I'm hungry" she said giving me her puppy eyes but that won't work on me. She always wants to do what she wants to show her siblings that she's the one in control over the house. At such young age I still don't know how she gets such ideas.

"We'll eat when you're brothers and sisters come home" I said shaking my head at her and gave her a warning look.

"But I'm starving" she whined throwing her phone on the bed and crossed her arms as she pouted. At first I didn't think vampires could get sick but that was proven to be wrong. Vampire kids don't have their full powers until they're 15 and that's why they get their clan rings at that age or slightly before it depends when their full powers come which sometimes could come earlier than expected but not by a lot.

"We'll eat when you're fathers come home" I said sternly before leaving the room before she could say anything else. I don't usually act cold with the kids but me and Jooheon decided that we maybe should start acting slightly colder with her when we're mad and not forgive her immediately like we usually do so maybe she'll stop being too whiney like she usually is when she's annoyed or sick.

I walked back down stairs just as the front door opened. Perks of having a school close to the house is not having to wait too long.

"Mommy!!" My four years old yelled as she ran over to me with a paper in her hand.

I picked her up as she reached me and twirled her around making her giggle before I stopped turning around and settled with her on my hip.

"Look mommy what I drew at school" she said putting the picture right in my face. I chuckled and pulled it slightly away from my face to see a couple of figures in front of a couple of flowers. They weren't really anything but stuck figures but I knew that these were us our big family.

"That's so beautiful baby girl" I kissed her forehead before placing her down on the floor and took her hand in mine as we walked into the kitchen.

"Hey mom" Soobin said walking into the kitchen after us and placed a quick kiss to my cheek before taking his usual seat on the dining table.

"How school love?" I looked over at him as I lowered Davina down on her chair.

"Great. I made a new friend today her name is Laura" he said smiling widely. He clearly likes her. Awww young love is the best.

"That's great. If you want you can ask her to come over some time so we could meet her" I patted his head as I passed by him and put Davina's new painting on the fridge which in a couple of days will hold a new one as this one will be thrown into her drawer where the rest of her paintings are.

"Sure thing mom" he nodded in agreement before turning his attention to the stove where a pot awaited to be opened making me chuckle.

I picked the pot up and placed her in the middle of the table and not a second later it was opened by Daniel who just walked and he took a sniff from above the pot before giving me a thumbs up with a cute satisfied face on his face.

"It smells heavenly in here" David said as he walked in hand in hand with Destiny who grinned at me in agreement.

"I missed you mom" she said walking over to me and hugged me tightly. She's a sneaky girl but this trick has been played way too many times at me that it doesn't work on me anymore not even once.

"You still have to do your homework" I patted her hair as she groaned as she pulled away with a pout on her lips.

"Erase that pout before I kiss it off" Kai joked as he walked making Destiny put on a disgusted face. After the kids became teenagers they didn't hate anything more than kissing their parents on the lips. I didn't do it not even when they were babies but Kai lived their cute tiny lips but now he gets rejected all the time which was funny in my eyes.

"Is the food ready yet?" Dawn yelled from upstairs just as Kai finished chuckling.

"Yes honey" he yelled back and not a second later she came running down the stairs.

"Dad" she hugged him as a greeting before sitting down beside Soobin and Davina.

"I see that I'm the last one to come home" Jooheon said as he walked in and over to me. He side hugged me and placed a small peck on my lips earning back disgusted groans.

"Eewww" Davina said covering her eyes just before a small giggle left her lips.

This what I call a family. A perfect family doesn't mean everyone has to be like robots and act like there's nothing they hated about each other because there's always something that you don't like about a sibling or a parent.

A perfect family isn't perfect without the fighting and screaming because then it'll be a robotic family. I love my family with all of my being and I wouldn't change anything about my life no matter what.

But there's only one question left unanswered and I have a feeling that there's a journey before we could find the answer. Hopefully it won't be too hard to find the answer.
