Chapter 2

Avril's POV

After I calmed down a bit I looked at the clock

Crap.

I was late for band practice. I ran because the studio wasn't far from my house. After about 2 minutes I made it, I was panting

''Sorry I'm late guys'' I said as I tried to catch my breath

''Avril?'' I looked up as Evan approached me and placed a hand on my shoulder

''I knew something was wrong''

I stared at him, emotionless

''I don't know what you're talking about''

He placed another hand on my shoulder and walked me to the mirror.

My god....

I was in a hurry and totally forgot that I was crying AND wearing full black make up. My heart started beating way faster. He then turned me again to face him. I stared deeply into his blue eyes

''S-Seriously I'm fine''

Evan motioned for the guys to leave the room, after they did, Evan looked back at me, still not letting go of my shoulders.

''What's wrong with you?!''

''I said I'm fine!!!'' I yelled and slapped his hands away. No longer was I able to hold my tears back.
His face turned even more serious.
Before he could say something I ran outside.

~few days later~

Evan's POV

I was sitting on the couch, just thinking. It's been a few days and I still haven't heard from Avril. To be honest, I'm starting to get really worried. Just then my phone rang
"Where the fuck are you now???!!"
Charlie yelled (yes I know Charlie and Mark weren't in the band at the same time just go with it okay? Okay)
"Charlie!! Jesus Christ what are you talking about?"
"You don't know...."
"Don't know what?"
"Get to the the hospital this instant we're waiting for you at the reception"
"Is Avril there?!"
"S...sort of..."
"What do you mean?"
"She got into a car accident and now she is...."
"She is what?"
"In a coma..."
"I'm on my way"
I rushed to my car and called Chloe. I felt like I couldn't breathe.
I explained the situation and she said she would meet me in the hospital. I drove for a few more minutes before I pulled up infornt of the hospital and rushed in.
I went to the reception and met the guys there who led me to Avril's room. I slowly opened the door and walked in.
Seeing her there broke me to pieces.
She was covered in scars and bruises. Her forehead was fully bandaged and her face was covered in blood.
I kneeled down next to her and held her hand tigthly.
A few minutes later Chloe came in. She rubbed my back in comfort but it wouldn't help. The only thing that would cheer me up right now is Avril waking up.
We were there for who knows how long and I didn't even notice that the guys left the room, that is until Chloe spoke
"We should go skating, to get your mind off of things"
"I'm not leaving Avril"
"C'mon don't be so stubborn! She won't wake up anyway"
"What if she does?"
"She won't"
Before I could say anything else, she dragged me out of the room witch got the guys attention. I stopped to talk to them while Chloe continued down the hall.
"I thought you left"
"Only the room"
"Where are you going?" Mark asked
"I'm gonna go skating with Chloe to get my mind off of everything"
"And leave your best friend who is in a coma"
"She won't wake up"
Their faces turned to anger and disappointment
"You know Chloe for TWO MONTHS and you're gonna go skating with her and leave your friend who you have known for 16 years"
"She changed you man can't you see? She is only with you because you're famous not because she likes you"
"Shut up! Don't you talk about Chloe like that!"
With that I stormed outside and got into my car with Chloe.

Jesse's POV

"This is driving me insane!"
"Us too. Just keep calm"
"And how am I supposed to do that?"
Charlie shrugged, I sighed.
Then I saw a nurse who was entering Avril's room.
"Excuse me?"
"Yes?"
"When will she wake up?"
"I'm not sure but I think it will be soon. But when she does she will probably have a bad memory"
I nodded and sat back down.
"This is bad man..really bad"
"I second that" said Mark

Evan's POV

While we were skating I could feel my phone buzz in my pocket. I stopped and looked at it, it was a text from Jesse.
"She will wake up but she will have a bad memory. It might take her a couple of weeks to get better."
"Thanks"
I texted back
"What is it Evan?"
"Avril will wake up but won't be able to remember everything right, it will take her a few weeks to recover"
"Oh.."

~time skip~

Everyone was in the hospital
and all of a sudden, Avril slowly opened her eyes. It caught everybody's attention
"Thank goodness you are awake"
Evan sighed in relief
"Evan? W-what happened? Why am I here?"
She was about to sit up but the pain in her body stopped her as she flopped back on the bed.
"That doesn't matter right now. What matters is that you're awake"
He smiled at her
"Also don't try to sit up, you may be awake but the pain is still there"
"How are you feeling Av?" Asked Chloe
"I'm good I guess" Avril mumbled. It was quite obvious that she doesn't want to talk to her.
"Hey Evan? Can I talk to you outside? Please?" Chloe pleaded
"Yeah sure"
So they walked outside and then she spoke
"Let's go! It's boring here!! We spend half of our lives in the hospital just for her!!"
"Well I'm not leaving"
"Why are you being so selfish?"
"I'm being selfish? For what? Because I want to be with my best friend who just woke up from a coma?"
"You want to spend more time with her than me?"
"Yes! Yes I do!! And there is nothing you can do to change that"
"Fine then. We're done"
"Nice to know"
Evan felt quite relieved to finally hear those words. Now that he thought about it, he was never happy with her in the first place.
He walked back inside to see everyone smiling and grinning at him
"What?" He asked puzzled
"We heard everything man. Seriously don't you know how to close the door?"
Evan face palmed
"I can't believe you actually did that Evan" Avril smiled and he smiled back at her
"You guys were right about her the whole time"
He paused
"I was just too blind to see that" he sighed
"I wish none of this happened. It looks like I was so desperate to find someone that I love and who loves me back that I pushed aside my lifelong friends"
"It's not all that bad" Charlie said
"What do you mean?"
"See Evan there is another girl that likes you"
"He is in a band of a famous singer, a lot of girls love him dumbass"
"Yeah but I'm talking about the girl he knows for so long"
"Charlie I see where you're going! Don't you dare!!"
"Avril likes you man!!"
"WHAT??!!"
Everyone yelled at the same time, though Avril was the loudest one.
She gave Charlie a death glare before looking back at Evan with a fully red face mixed with emarassment.
"So is it true Avril?" Jesse teased
"O-of course not!! I mean I do like him but not in That way!! And you Charlie, your ass is lucky that I can't get up otherwise I'd strangle you!!!"
"So you do"
"Ugh guys!! Seriously?"
She covered her face with her hands
"I hate you all!!" She mumbled, but laughter was clearly heard.
Evan giggled
"Awe guys leave her alone" he mimicked Avril's words from a few months ago.
She gave him the same death glare that she gave Charlie, but she only got a smirk as a response.
"Why don't you two kiss already?"
Mark whined.
Evan then kissed Avril on the cheek
"There. Happy?"
"No!"
"The cheek doesn't count!!"
Evan looked at Avril, she rolled her eyes and nodded.
