"Harry and Ron, if you do not wake up, you'll make us miss the train, and if you make us miss the train I will not hesitate to beat your arses!" I screamed, irritated at the two boys who chose the worst day to not want to wake up.
They groaned and muttered some profanities before slowly rolling out of bed. I rolled my eyes at the pair of them, and began walking down the stairs. Ginny and Hermione were laughing in the kitchen, and I could hear Percy and Bill talking to Arthur about ministry stuff. A hand grabbed my arm and pulled me into a room. My heart raced slightly until I looked up to see Fred's laughing face.
"Really Fred? Someone could have seen you!"
He smirked and kissed me softly, making me blush. "Harley, we're going to have to tell our brothers and the girls sooner or later."
I pecked his lips and hugged him tight. "I choose later."
He groaned as I ran out of his bedroom and down into the kitchen. Molly smiled at me, and we quickly got all the trunks together. This was Fred and George's final year at Hogwarts and we all knew Voldemort would attack soon. We didn't talk much about it, but the members of the order had been at the Burrow for most of the summer, which had clarified any ideas we had been brewing ourselves.
I grabbed my trunk and smiled when my cat Andromeda meowed happily from her cage. I had gotten her only two years prior and she had been the greatest investment I had ever made. My brother and the Weasley family were all owl people, yet as much as I loved Hedwig, Errol, and Pigwidgeon, I fell in love with Andromeda the moment I saw her.
Slowly, but surely, Molly and Arthur were able to wrangle the seven of us that were heading back to school, and get us into the few cars the ministry had provided for us to use. Bill and Percy waved goodbye as we slowly made our way out of the driveway.
The ride to the station wasn't too long and it went smoother than normal. Everyone was tired, so no one was in the mood to have drawn out conversations. When we arrived at King's Cross Station, my whole demeanor changed. Hogwarts was my happy place; there was no place in the world that I felt safest. As we said our goodbyes to Molly and Arthur, everyone began to disperse, and Fred winked at me, making me blush. Fred and I were a bit unplanned. I never imagined we would be anything more than close friends.
Three months earlier...
The rain fell softly around me, but I continued to gaze up at the sky. It had only been three days since the end of my fifth year at Hogwarts. Three days since the end of the school year that involved dementor attacks, Umbridge, and the death of my brother's godfather, Sirius Black. To say that this year had been eventful was honestly an understatement. Everyone was taking the events hard, but Harry was taking it the hardest. I still had my godfather, Remus, but Sirius was the closest thing Harry had ever had to a father. I heard someone walking towards me, and half-smiled at Fred as he sat next to me.
"Couldn't sleep either?"
He nodded his head no and put his arm around me. It was something he always did, but for some strange reason, it felt different this time. Out of all the Weasleys, I was closest with Fred. He was the first person to completely accept me without fear of the strange circumstances of my life. I appreciated him more than anyone else in the world.
"Harley... Do you fancy anyone?"
I was shocked as the words left his mouth. We never talked much about love, crushes, or anything else in those categories. I laughed at his question and shook my head no. He gave me a half smirk and looked out across the yard. The rain still fell steady and I moved in closer to him. His eyebrows were furrowed together and he seemed to have something on his mind.
