We had been travelling all night and no one had talked the entire time. James sat next to me, while McGonagall sat across from us. Harris sat in the compartment next to us, because he wanted to sleep for bits and pieces of the journey. I couldn't tell where exactly we were. The scenery was unfamiliar but I trusted my professors and James. I stared at McGonagall, who looked extremely anxious, and I decided to break the silence.
"Professor, if you don't mind me asking, but who are we on our way to meet?"
Professor McGonagall sighed, and patted my hand lightly, before turning her head towards the window. She was quiet for a few minutes more before she turned back to me.
"It's not a question of whom you are going to meet, but of what you will learn. You're not an ordinary witch Harley, and everyone has known that since the day you and your brother survived he-who-shall-not-be-named. While Harry is a remarkable wizard, you have something he does not, and that something is a powerful gift. You see the past, present and future, you can show other people the future, and you can control the weather. Who knows what else you might be able to do. There have been only four wizards known before you to have been seers, and only one witch known who could control the weather. Your gifts are extremely rare, and only James, and one other person can help you figure them out to the best of their knowledge. Now I do need you to promise me something. No matter what you hear, no matter how badly things are going, do not return to Hogwarts until you're fully prepared. Now, I'd like to welcome you to France, but more importantly, to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic."
I looked outside my window and stared at the school in front of me. It was absolutely beautiful, and about the same size as Hogwarts. It seemed to be something out of a fairy tale. Our train stopped, and McGonagall quickly ushered me out of the compartment. James and Hagrid were right behind us with our bags. We wove between people and pushed past a few until we were off of the train.
"Minerva, James, Reubus it's been so long."
We all turned around at the sound of someone speaking, and I stared up in awe. The woman was no older than Tonks, and was beautiful. Her hair was as white as snow, her eyes the same color as a pine, and her lips as red as a rose. She was tall and lean, and radiated with power.
"Harley dear, this is Elizabeth Prewett, the Weasley's distant cousin."
My mouth dropped open, and Elizabeth laughed quietly. After she stopped laughing, she wrapped her arms around me and started to push me in front of her, towards the school.
"Now, let's get you settled in Harley."
She led us all back to Beauxbatons, and I looked around in awe. Everything was more peaceful and calm. Students were studying under some of the trees, and some were just out enjoying the weather. As soon as they saw us, they stopped and stared. The whispers began, and James put his arm protectively around my shoulders. Elizabeth led us inside the castle, and up to the top floor.
"Madame Maxime lets me have the top floor to myself since I'm both the groundskeeper, and caretaker. It's a lot of work, but well worth it."
The whole top floor was decorated in natural hues. Everything was warm, and welcoming.
"Okay, Harley, you will be staying in the West wing. There is a library, bathroom, and small kitchen over there. James, you will be staying in the room next to mine over here in the East wing. I figured we could give Harley her own space. Minerva, Reubus, are you staying the night, or leaving after dinner?"
"Oh dear, we'll be leaving after dinner. We can't stay away from the school for too long. Albus won't like that very much. Hagrid, can you help Harley with her things. I have to talk to Elizabeth and James for just a moment."
Hagrid nodded his head, and grabbed my trunk. I grabbed Andromeda's cage, and we strolled across the floor to the west wing. My room was every shade of blue and green you could imagine and more. It was absolutely wonderful. Hagrid dropped my trunk next to my bed, and I let Andromeda out of her cage. She meowed grumpily at me, but curled up in my side.
"Ye take care of yerself Harley, and remember no matter what happens, finish learning from Elizerbeth and James."
I nodded my head okay, and hugged Hagrid tightly. He wiped away a tear from his face, and walked out of my room without another word. I emptied out my trunk, and put everything into its new home, before plopping back onto my bed. Andromeda curled up on my stomach, and I chuckled as I began to stroke her back. James sauntered in a few minutes later, and plopped down next to me. We were silent for a few minutes.
"James... what am I?"
He sighed, and sat up. I stayed laying down, and looked away from him.
"Harley, you know that you are a seer like me, but you're a more powerful seer than I am. You can show other people your visions, and no other seer in wizarding history has been able to do that. Elizabeth can control the weather, just like you recently found out you can do. She's the one I was talking about earlier with you. Now you are a witch Harley, but you're a witch with seer and atmokinesis abilities. There has never been a combination of the two, and right now. You're the only one who can save us Harley. Your brother is nowhere near as strong as you. You are our only hope."
I gulped nervously and turned away from him, clutching my cat to my chest. I wanted to be recognized as an equal to my brother- I never knew it would mean I would be the only hope for the whole wizarding world.
