Draco's POV
I sat next to Harley's bed in the infirmary, watching her sleep. She looked so peaceful, but paler than normal. The vision she had plus the kiss we had shared had made her faint and hit her head pretty hard. It scared me and I couldn't fully understand why.

In the last few weeks, Harley Potter was on my mind every second of the day. Every time I saw a glimpse of her, my heart seemed to beat a little faster. I had never told anyone about how I was feeling about Harley. I had no true friends. The friends I did have were too scared not to be my friends. My family had one of the worst reputations possible, making it hard for me to be seen as anything different. I hadn't wanted to be any different until the end of last year.

After helping Umbridge and then hearing about the death of Sirius Black, I felt guilty. I knew about the trap, I could have warned Harley. I could have made sure she didn't have to lose another person. But then again, she would have never listened. She's a Potter, and I'm a Malfoy. We were always destined to be enemies.

Several Years Prior
"Draco, do not run ahead. Malfoy's do not run," my father snarled in my direction.

"Sorry father," I said softly, before falling in line behind him.

I tried to mimic how he was walking as to not bring any shame to him or our family. I had turned eleven today, and to no surprise, I had received my letter for Hogwarts. My father decided to bring me into London for a birthday/celebratory luncheon. I was pretty sure it had been my mother's idea, as she was too sick to celebrate my birthday with me. My father wasn't one to celebrate trivial things. We entered the restaurant, but my father stopped abruptly. A look of anger was on his face as he stared at a table of two people; a man around his age and a girl around my age. Father began to walk towards them, showing no emotion as we got closer.

"Remus, what an interesting surprise. I didn't know they allowed your kind in establishments like this," My father said to the man, a weird tone in his voice.

The man, Remus, kept a calm look on his face. The young girl he was with let her fury show. She looked familiar, I just couldn't understand why. The only people I had met that were my age, were the children of previous members of the Slytherin House; the only house a Malfoy should be placed in.

"Why don't you leave us alone your pompous jerk," the girl said to my father, making me crack a smile that I quickly had to hide.

"Ah, the orphaned Potter girl. It's a shame mummy and daddy left you to be raised by a beast. They should have taken you with them, but I'm sure you'll join them soon enough."

I had never seen someone's emotions change as fast as Harley's did. She was hurt and angry and god only knows what else. I couldn't believe what my father had said, but Remus put a hand on Harley's arm and whispered something in her ear. She slowly calmed down and looked straight at my father.

"Oh Lucius, it's a shame that you have learned nothing since my parents' untimely deaths. Maybe it's you that'll be joining them soon enough."

She got out of her chair, pushed passed the two of us, glared at me, and waited for Remus to join her at the door. My father growled in frustration before grabbing my arm forcefully, and dragging me to our table. No one had ever stood up to my father before and I was quite impressed with how she had.

Thinking back to the first time I had ever seen Harley, brought back the weird feelings I had for her. She drove me absolutely insane. I was born and raised to hate her and everything she stood for, yet all I wanted to do was know more about her. I knew the basic things everyone knew; who she lived with, who her brother was, who her friends were, etc. but what I wanted to know was what she wanted to do after Hogwarts, what her hopes and dreams entailed, if she could ever stop hating me, and so much more.

I wanted to know the true Harley Potter; not the girl who lived or the girl I had seen through the last five and a half years of school. I wanted to know the Harley that she was when she was alone, and I wanted to show her who I really was. That I'm not just some pompous dick from a pretentious family; that I'm just a guy, born into a psychotic family, who I can't get away from.

"Draco."

I paused as I heard my name, and quickly turned to face Harley. She was still asleep, but a small smile played at the edges of her lips as she muttered my name again. I felt my heart flutter and a real smile creep across my lips. I gently kissed her forehead, before walking out of the infirmary. I wasn't sure what all this meant, but one thing was for sure, I had feelings for my sworn enemy.
