"What?" you stop rinsing and turn to Jungkook. "It's just that, you guys did seem pretty close last night. And I see the way you look at him whenever we come over to visit," he looks at you straight in the eyes as he continues, "it's like you've been missing him or something."
All you can do is gulp. Without any idea how to respond, you simply smile, "He just reminds me of someone, Kookie," he blushes at the nickname. "S-so, you don't like him?" he stutters.
You don't feel like you're lying to him or yourself when you shake your head in response to his question.
"Are you free this Saturday?" Jungkook suddenly asks. He places the last plate on the rack before turning to you.
"I think so. Why?" you lean against the sink, waiting for his reply.
"I have this new choreography I'm working on. You did mention you used to practice in one of the studios in the building. I was wondering if you maybe wanted to help? Or if not, it's totally fine. I'm not really sure why I'm asking you this," as he rambles you bite back a smile.
"What time?" he stops rambling and looks at you, wondering if he heard you right. "What?" you laugh at his bewilderment, "What time do I have to be there?"
"Does 8 pm sound good?"
You stand up straight from your position on the sink, "8 pm it is."

"Right arm, pop, lock, point." Jimin instructs. You copy his movements, trying to familiarize yourself with the step.
"Yeah, just like that." He smiles at you. "I'm so tired, Chim." you pout. He chuckles before walking to the corner to grab your water bottle. "Come on. One last run through with this step then we can do one full dance and we're done." You smile at his attempt to motivate you.
"You're lucky I love you." You stick your tongue out at him. Jimin shakes his head and laughs, "I love you too, babe."
"I wish we could go out and eat in a restaurant next time."
It's been a year since Jimin and you started dating but in all those months you were together, you never got to experience dating outside Big Hit's building.
Nobody knew about your relationship.
You had to keep it a secret to protect Jimin's and BTS' image.
Also, they have a dating ban.
"Soon, babe," he promises you, giving a sad smile.

"Okay, so this step goes 1,2, ta,ta, boom, step, step, and slide back in." Jungkook shows you.
You try to copy the step, doing the same counting in your head.
"Yeah, then you go and turn to your right, right arm first, then left, then pull." He shows you the next move.
As the hours pass, you notice how Jungkook is similar to Jimin, but you also note how they are different.
Just like Jimin, Jungkook is full of determination. He doesn't stop until he gets it right. But where he and Jimin don't meet is at the fact the Jungkook can still be funny and goofy while practicing, while Jimin has he focus mainly on the work – something that annoyed you a lot.
"And we're done," Jungkoook says. He turns off the music and looks at you. "What do you think?"
"You are gonna have to help me sharpen my moves during the pre-chorus," you lean down to catch a breath. He laughs at your tired state and hands you your water bottle. "No problem. We can touch up on it again on Friday if you're free." You smile at him, "sure."
After that day, your Fridays are mostly spent at the studio with Jungkook, doing different choreographies, and dinner would normally follow. It was difficult to admit at first but eventually you have come to accept the fact that your little routine was a lot like what you and Jimin used to have.
Today you're at your house with Jungkook while the rest of the guys went out to buy dinner and some groceries.
"You play the guitar? Can you play me a song?" you're both on your couch in the living room, doing small talk. "I can try. But you have to sing with me," you stand up from the couch and walk to your room to get the instrument.
"I like being independent, not so much of an investment, no one to tell me what to do.
I like being by myself, don't gotta entertain anybody else,
No one to answer to." he gestures his hand to you, telling you to sing the next part of the verse,
"But sometimes I just want somebody to hold, someone to give me the jacket when it's cold, got that young love even when we're old.
Sometimes, I want someone to grab my hand, pick me up, pull me close, be my man
I will love you 'til the end."
During the chorus, your voices blend in harmony. Your eyes occasionally meet throughout the song, stealing a few glances here and there. You give one last strum as you come to the end of the song.
Your eyes immediately find his and you both smile at each other. His eyes were holding a different emotion. As you try to read his look, you both find yourselves leaning closer until the tips of your noses touch. You close your eyes as you feel his lips land on yours. You kiss him back, tangling your left hand in his hair, while the other holds him by his nape.
He carefully removes the guitar from your lap to pull you closer, making the gap between you smaller. His hands gently caress your waist, giving it a slight squeeze before you decide to catch your breaths.
"You have no idea how long I've waited to do that," he breathes. You blush at his sudden confession, biting your lip as you stare at him.
Just as you're about to say something, you hear your front door being unlocked. Both of you turn your heads to its direction and see all the guys entering.
"We're home!" Hoseok's voice booms throughout the house. They all make their way to the living room and the first person to notice you and Jungkook was Jimin.
"What were you guys doing?" his eyes accusing.
Your body stiffens and with Jungkook's arm still around your waist, he was able to feel it.
"We were just playing some songs. Y/N can play the guitar," he answers his hyung.
"Wow, really?" Hoseok replies with his eyes wide. "Can you play us a song later?"
You nod your head and smile at him.
"Well, dinner's ready so let's get to the dining." Jin tells everyone.
You breathe out a sigh of relief once everyone follows Jin. "You okay?" Jungkook asks you.
You look at him and give him a small smile, "Yeah."
