Let Go

Chapter 13

It's been a week since the incident and not once have you nor Jungkook initiated to start a conversation with regards to it. It's as if the two of you were actually trying to avoid it, not really wanting to know what would happen afterwards.

The car door closes behind you as you stand in front of your parents' house. They decided to come to Seoul for a week to check up on the company, as well as to meet the boyfriend you've told them about over the phone.

A hand grasps yours and you look up to see Jungkook looking at you with a nervous guise. You squeeze his hand and give him a small smile, "don't be nervous. It's just my parents."

"That's exactly why I'm nervous," he mumbles and pouts at you. You giggle and give him a quick peck, "I'll be with you the whole time. Don't worry."

"Jungkook, I know you're aware of the position I have in the company but, I do not want it to be, in anyway at all, a reason for you to think that you cannot approach me for advice or anything." As soon as your dad is done talking, both you and Jungkook are in shock of what you've just heard. Your mom smiles and pats your father's arm before looking at the both of you, "He's very fond of you, Jungkook." Jungkook smiles and bows his head to thank your parents for the acceptance. You then return to eating your food and continue chatting for the rest of the night.

As you're about to leave, your parents walk you to the door and you hug the both of them.

"We'll see you soon, darling. You should also come visit us in the States once you have your break," your mom says before pulling away from the hug.

At the same time Jungkook and your dad shake hands as their way to say goodbye, "Take care of her, Jungkook. Don't ever hurt her."

"I won't, sir. I promise," he glances at you as he says the next words,

"That's something I could never imagine doing to her."

"I wish I could spend the night," Jungkook pouts as he pulls up on your driveway.

"Me too, Kookie but, you have to practice and I have to study cause my exams are in two weeks." He pouts even more causing you to giggle and place a hand on his cheek, "tell you what. Once I'm done with my exams, I will visit you during practice and we can go on dates when you're free."

This causes him to smile, "I would like that." He leans in to give you a soft kiss and once you pull away, he places his forehead against yours and you stay like that in silence.

"I'm glad your parents liked me, Y/N," he breathes out and looks at you in the eyes.

"Why wouldn't they? You're a good person, Jungkook. And you're very charming. You have a nice personality, good sense of humor. You get along well with both of my parents and you show them a lot of respect," as the words leave your mouth, a sudden wave courses through you.

At that moment you feel your heart thump against your chest. You pull back from the position you're currently in, leaving Jungkook dumbfounded.

You lean back and simply look at him. Jeon Jungkook. He's all that you can see.

"Baby, are you okay?" he asks slightly worried.

You only manage to give him a smile before pulling him into a hug, shocking him.

You pull back and rest both of your hands on his cheeks.

You look at him straight in the eyes and say, "I love you."

Jungkook is left speechless. It takes him a second or two to process what you've just said before he breaks out into a grin and kisses you.

"I love you too."

A/N: Haven't been able to update for almost a month now. A lot of stuff just happened and I couldn't put that much effort and concentration to sit and write but, I'm back and I was able to draft most parts for all three books I've published. They're all nearing the end but I have a new series coming soon so don't worry!
