Khushi taped up a cardboard box and plopped down in Arnav's chair with a sigh. "No more textbook rentals ever again!"
As it was finals week, Khushi was finally free from all of the torture, having just finished her last test. As soon as she got back to the penthouse, she rounded up all of her books in Arnav's home office, printed out receipts and shipping labels, and was ready to ship all her books back to the hell they came from.
Khushi leaned forward and put her arms over the box. "If I see another textbook, I'm gonna vomit on it."
Etta came walking in with a duster. "Should I be worried," she chuckled.
"So long as I don't see one," Khushi winked.
"Well Mr. Raizada's are gone, so you won't see his. If you'd like, I can have Nigel take the box to UPS."
"Would he mind? I remember seeing on Arnav's calendar that an interior designer is coming?"
"Oh yes! Mr. Raizada must have forgotten! He had contracted a designer to redo the penthouse over the summer."
Khushi scrunched her eyebrows. "Hmm, he never mentioned it to me."
"He must have forgotten. After all there is only one thing, or rather one person on his mind these days," she smiled softly.
Khushi looked down, blushing softly. "So there's gonna be work done here over the summer."
"Yes, and I will make sure everything goes well."
"It's a good thing this place is big. That way I can avoid all that smell from paint and what not, holing myself up in a room. It makes me nauseous! The thought of it makes me wanna puke."
Etta chuckled. "You won't have to camp out in a room. Mr. Raizada probably won't be here."
Khushi tilted her head with a frown. "Really?"
Etta put her duster down and went over to Khushi. "He hasn't said anything?"
Khushi shook her head.
"Then maybe he has a surprise trip planned," Etta gushed.
Khushi took that into thought. A trip? How come he hasn't said anything about any of this?
"He's probably waiting for the right moment," Etta smiled.
"Well," Khushi sighed, glancing at the clock, "until then, considering all the time I've got till the designer comes over, I should drop off these books myself."
Etta smiled with a nod. "I'll put the box on the table in the foyer and let Nigel know to keep the car ready."
"Thanks Etta," Khushi smiled, heading to the door. "Can you believe how hot it is today. I just might faint," Khushi chuckled.
Etta chuckled. "All this talk about fainting and puking reminds me of when my sister got pregnant."
Khushi had just stepped out of the library when Etta said that, causing Khushi to pause. She looked back at Etta, but she was cleaning up Arnav's desk. Khushi turned away and quietly headed back to their room.
