The Controlling Lover (ON HOLD)

Chapter Fifty Six

The sun peeked through the curtains, awakening Khushi. She turned to make Arnav her pillow, but he wasn't there. Khushi got up and as her brain awoke, she heard the clicking of keys. Getting up, she found Arnav in the office, working.

"Good morning angel," he smiled.

"Good morning. When did you get up?"

"Fifteen minutes or so. Shall I order breakfast?"

Khushi's stomach grumbled at the word and she nodded. While Khushi washed up, Arnav called room service. Soon enough their breakfast arrived and they ate in the dining room.

"So what would you like to do today," Arnav asked.

"Mm... how about we just explore for today."

"Sure."

After breakfast was complete, Arnav and Khushi got ready, Arnav wearing a button down and shorts, while Khushi wore a romper. The two headed out, walking through the resort, familiarizing themselves. They saw the many restaurants, passed the water park and aquarium, found the spa, discovered activities they could do, and of course the club.

"Wow, there's so many things to do here. And we're here for a week right?"

"Mm hmm, unless you'd like to stay longer."

Khushi shook her head. "A week is fine."

Arnav nodded and the two continued to walk down along the beach. The sun began to set and it looked absolutely beautiful.

"How lucky am I to be here," Khushi nearly whispered, gazing at the setting sun.

Arnav turned to her. "How lucky am I to be here with you?"

Khushi looked up at Arnav and squeezed his hand lightly. The two turned to each other and kissed as the sun continued to set into the horizon, casting it's bright red-orange light on the couple.

Given the choice, Khushi decided to check out the water park, which is exactly what they did the next day. They had a blast, going down water slides and rafts, and enjoying the pool. But there was one activity that struck out to Khushi the most.

"Oh my gosh! Is that... do my eyes deceive me?"

Arnav looked in the direction she was looking at.

"It is... a zip line," she nearly drooled.

Arnav began to chuckle, but Khushi was too in daze. There was something about zip lining that made Khushi love it so much! Perhaps it was the rush she got from going at such a speed from such a height. Whatever it was, all she knew was that she loved it and wanted to do it. So she grabbed Arnav's hand and dragged him with her.

Khushi was absolutely excited, almost bouncing from her giddiness as they placed the harness on her.

"Angel, it's as if you're a child getting ice cream," Arnav chuckled.

"Oh this baby is getting ice cream alright, I'm so ready for this!"

Arnav laughed. "Someone's pumped."
