I walked home laughing about our conversations. He made me smile. I guess you could say he was my best friend. I hadn't known him very long but I felt like I knew him forever. He listened to me and looked like he actually understood me. I really never had this feeling except for when I was dancing. It wasn't like an "OMG HE IS SOOO HOT HE JUST IS SOO ADORABLE" kind of love it was a "I feel like I'm safe around you" kind of love. I could tell him anything.

I walked in the house. That's when I remembered.

"Mia Alexandra Harmin, where on earth have you been?! The couple left an hour ago!"

"Why would it matter if I was here or not?! They only came for Lilly! They don't want me! No one wants me! You don't know what it's like to not be loved! Once I go to another foster home you won't love me! You won't even care!!" I had never yelled like that at anyone before.

She looked super surprised. She just starred with her mouth open. She had so much to say but she couldn't get it all out.

"Mia...I.." her tone was calm now "Mia, they came for both of you...and...I...never knew you felt that way."

I suddenly felt bad. I wanted to cry. For the first time in ages I actually did. She pulled me into a hug and stroked my head as she shooshed me. "

"Well...they loved Lilly and they want to meet you too. Lilly said she won't go without you. They decided to give you another chance."

Then, I felt happy....Lilly did that for me?
