Chapter 8: Finally Family

It's been a few months since that night at dinner. The place me moved to is a very move horse ranch. Lilly has a pony she named Bubble Gum and I have a horse named Lilly Bird. I know it's a silly name for a horse. We have a neat little family. Clare drives me to dance every week and gets to see her mom.

The performance is in a few days. I'm really excited.

We drove to the last rehearsal before the show day. I was thinking how much I loved how it all turned out. It's kind of weird being the teacher's granddaughter. Ashley is still....Ashley

We drove up and met Harry at the front door. I ran into his arms and he spun me around. Moments like these make me glad we are best friends.

I walked in the door and we went to our seperate dressing rooms.

Just when I was done putting on my makeup, I started to head out the door. Ashley blocked my path. "Let me tell you something, Mia!" she leaned in close to my ear. " I get what I want.....and that includes...Harry." my heart stopped. What was she going to do? "Don't you dare hurt him." I whispered back.

She smirked and we headed out on stage.

I saw Harry and my mood changed completely. I smiled at him.

We were done with rehearsals now. "Harry, do you want to come riding?"

"Sure! We can take my car." he replied with a smile.

We got in his car and drove to my house. He had been there lots of times.

"Can Lilly come?" he asked me. I knew he loved Lilly. They always flirted with each other. Lilly loved it when Harry came. She told me she was going to marry him one day. I laughed and agreed only if she let me have her Skittles.

Lilly ran out of the house at the mention of her name. She had been spying.

"Harry, why don't you just kiss her already!" she had her hands on her hips

"Lilly!" I yelled while Harry just laughed.

"No, it's fine....Lilly, I won't kiss her because I love you!"

"You really do? Like....you want to marry me?" she said, wide eyed.

"When you get older, I'll marry you!" he said, swooping her up and swinging her around.

The ride was fun, we all laughed. Lilly rode on Brye with Harry. They really were cute.

"Bye, Harry!" Lilly called as he drove away. He waved through the window.

Today was a good day......but I wondered about Ashley
