Chapter 11: Without Harry

Chp 11

I ran in my room. I locked the door, I didn't want to see anyone.

"Mia......it's Clare..." Clare knocked on the door. Her voice was muffled.

I got up and unlocked the door, not making eye contact.

"Can you tell me what happened with you and Harry?" she asked, sitting on the edge of my bed.

I told her all he said and how he walked away.

She rubbed my back as I told her everything. She was like my best friend, even though she was mom.

"But the hard part is, I still love him..." I said tears in my eyes.

She looked compassionately in my eyes.

"Mia.....if you love him this much.....I say.....go after him." she said smiling.

2 weeks later

The Swan had been rescheduled, because of Lilly.

We were going to the first practice in weeks. My stomach felt nervous to see Harry.

I walked up to the door and ran in to the studio. What I saw made my heart drop.....

I tried to ignore them, but the constant giggling between them was hard to ignore.

He seemed happy with her. Was this how it was going to be? I smiled at Harry trying to get his attention. He looked at me longingly. Did he really still love me? I had mixed feelings. Every time I saw him I thought of Lilly. He felt like it was his fault.

We all started rehearsing. The beginning scene was our scene together. It was the same as always but with less emotion. He didn't talk to me the whole time, and Ashley was enjoying every minute.

After rehearsals I tried talking to Harry

"Harry, do you want to go to the park?" I asked with a smile.

He didn't look at me, "No thank you, Mia...I have things to do."

That broke my heart. We used to be so close. I feel like even though he left me because "he didn't want to hurt me", it hurt more not to be with him.

He turned and smiled at Ashley. They left together. I walked toward the special spot under the tree in the park. I arrived at the park abd walked toward the tree. I heard familiar voices.

Harry and Ashley were sitting under the tree. I stayed on the other side of the tree and listened.

"Harry, I really love you...."Ashley said.

"Ashley, I really think....we should maybe....be more than friends." he replied. My heart sank. Where was the Harry that said Ashley was a jerk. My eyes filed with tears.

She leaned over.....

And kissed him
