I fell to the ground. It all happened in slow motion.
My vision became blurry and the solid beep could be heard.
Her lifeless body laying in the bed. The rise and fall of her chest stopped.
I walked over to her side. If I had been here only a few moments later.
"Harry....what happened?"
Tears poured down his face.
"It.....I....I wasn't......"
My parents were crying. Holding on to her pale hand.
She was gone now......
Harry hugged me.....I hugged back. We were both still for a while.
AT THE FUNERAL
It was raining again.
I kept my head down so no one could see me cry.
Harry isn't here.......
A familiar voice started speaking....Harry
"Lilly was so careless, so free. She didn't judge, she only loved. Her last words spoken to me were "I love you". So as you live, don't get hung in the past or worry about the future. Live the day and Love....like.....Lilly."
That made me cry even harder. I couldn't hold my tears. I ran to him and hugged him, but he didn't hug back.
"Harry? What's wrong?"
"Mia....I hurt you.....it's my fault that Lilly is here....that you are here. I don't want to break your heart anymore. I don't want to be with you.....I don't want to make the same mistakes.....I love you, Mia.......Goodbye"
My heart sunk....his figure slowly disappearing into the rain.
He was gone......
