For the next few days, Jimin started avoiding Yoongi like the plague. There will always be some sort of sudden meeting, or unexplained rendezvous that kept them from seeing each other.
Because Jimin realized he can't continue, and his feeling will not be reciprocated. He snipped himself in the bud, to avoid the inevitable pitiful fall.
Days became weeks and eventually became a little too long, until even Namjoon was concerned. In the end, the whole reason for Yoongi to live with Park Jimin was to gain intel. However, with their current relationship they might as well be strangers.
Yoongi was just as confused. He never understood what went through Jimin's head, it was all rainbows and unicorns between them until suddenly, dark.
He tried talking, when Jimin kept on averting his eyes. He tried joking, when Jimin kept on rubbing his necks. He tried anger, but Jimin just stayed silent.
Not that he minded been alone, but he needed a reason to be let go of. However, he never even got the chance to ask for answers before an invisible wall was built in-between them.
It drove him crazy. Then crazy became anger. And anger for Min Yoongi, is complete silence.
When enough time have painfully passed and Jimin finally tried to restart their relationship, Yoongi have already reverted back to when they have first met. He was cold, rigid, and unresponsive.
What made it worse—he only treated Park Jimin this way.
"Yoongi"
"Hey Yoongi wait, can we talk for a sec please?"
Jimin came home early to wait for Yoongi, because that seemed like the only way they could even meet face to face nowadays. Yoongi stride straight toward his room after kicking off his shoes, and slammed the bedroom door right in Jimin's face.
He should have known, what was he expecting from Yoongi after treating him like that. He was selfish to think that after ignoring Yoongi for so long, everything would still be fine. But Jimin was hopeful, that Yoongi will open his door and walk out.
So the universe heard his prayers, and the door to Yoongi's room opened.
"Hey, I........." Jimin turned around immediately and tries to start a conversation, only to be cut off.
"Here" Yoongi slammed something onto the dining table, the metallic clang against the table. He looked up at Jimin with cold eyes, "Your house keys, I'm moving out this weekend"
"What?" Jimin's heart dropped, "What do you mean?"
"I wanted to tell you earlier, but since you were pretending that I don't exist, there wasn't a chance. You don't have any financial hardships so this shouldn't be a problem right?"
"Besides, my wounds already healed so there's no reason for me to stay"
Jimin was at a loss for words.
This is in fact, what he wanted, right? He thought if he doesn't see, hear, or have anything to do with Min Yoongi's life, the stress he was feeling will disappear.
He will eventually move on, meet someone else. This time, he will remember to find out first before handing over his everything.
But no.
He looked hard at Yoongi's icy dark eyes, and realized he will never be fine. Everything that he purported to be was a big fat lie. He will not be able to move on. Every time he meet someone new, he will automatically think of Min Yoongi.
