Jimin left early the morning Yoongi moved out.
He couldn't bring himself to watch him leave, so he left a letter in front of his door hoping Yoongi will read it.
Yoongi couldn't sleep for days. The anxiety became apparent, and he's been thinking about their relationship ever since Jimin's unplanned confession. It wasn't like he was disgusted, hell, he was serious when he said Jimin looked like a cute pumpkin and he wanted to take him home.
But that was a joke. At least he think it was.
The scenario of been confessed to by another man never crossed his mind, let alone in reality. So he was more shocked than anything, and confused at the same time.
To play the devil's advocate against himself, he was a little too physical with Jimin. All those jokes, about kissing his stitches for him. Now that he think about it, the love was more than evident in Jimin's eyes, how did he not see it.
"God, I'm such an idiot" Yoongi exclaimed while rubbing his forehead.
"Oh, you finally realized that huh, baby steps I see!" Namjoon helped Yoongi set up the furnitures in his new place, but the constant signing and mumbling from his buddy was becoming irritating.
"Look man, what's up with you these days huh? Isn't this what you wanted? I mean I broke an arm and a leg to get your requests through. You finally don't have to live with Park Jimin anymore, but you act like you just lost the love of your life or something"
"Shut up, I need to think" Yoongi threw himself on the couch, but it felt strange, as if trying to fit into a puzzle that's the wrong shape. Not at all warm and comfortable like the one in Jimin's apartment.
"Don't give me that attitude, do you need to talk? What exactly happened between you two?" Namjoon doesn't look it, but deep down he's a sensitive man, with too much empathy and a sharp eye.
"He confessed to me" Yoongi mumbled almost to himself.
"What? What did you say? You need to speak up mate"
"Fuck! He really confessed to me!" Yoongi jumped out of the couch all of a sudden and started prancing around the room like a chained up animal.
"Okay, I'll just wait for you to calm down so I can hear the story" Namjoon ignored Yoongi and continued to adjust the placement of the dining table. Somehow it just wouldn't match the edge of the kitchen, and it drove him insane. So he took out his little ruler and measured again, this time, perfect in his perfect perfection.
"Namjoon, he confessed to me" Yoongi huffed as he ran next to Namjoon, gestures wide and eyes intense, knocking the dining table that Namjoon spend the last half an hour perfecting into a slanted mess, "Like he told me he loves me, to my face, as in romantically!"
"Yoongi! What are you doing!?" Namjoon was horrified at what Yoongi have done to the table, but immediately turning around, aghast, "Wait-what? Are you serious?" He went silent for a moment and pointed his fingers at Yoongi with a raised eyebrow, "Is that....is that why you moved out?.....wow, did he do something to you?"
"What?" Yoongi's pitch high in disbelief. Did Namjoon just said what he think he said?
"No! No of course no, what? What would he do to me?" Yoongi was defensive, almost insulted.
The sincere yet hurtful expression on Jimin's face was still fresh in his memory, how dare Namjoon equate what was so pure with something unscrupulous.
"I don't know, well, how do you feel about it? I mean, you moved out didn't you?"
"Yeah but, not because of him, I mean yes because of him but" Yoongi's speech was disoriented, he paced back and forth with his fingernails between teeth. Namjoon waited for an answer, but it suddenly struck him.
"Wait, Yoongi, don't tell me you are into him?"
Namjoon grinned as Yoongi paused and turned around, his mouth was half open and eyes angry, "Of course not, are you stupid? He's a guy, I'm not into guys"
"Sure, I believe you, you don't have to defend yourself"
"Yeah, of course"
Yoongi walked away deflated, his feet dragged behind him. Somehow Namjoon's words made him flustered, yet the bastard's attitude felt like punching on cotton candy. None of Yoongi's rage released whatsoever, instead it just left him even more frustrated.
"Hey Yoongi" Namjoon called out to him, he was concerned about Yoongi's emotional state, after all, they aren't ordinary people, "I know you don't need to hear this from me, but try not to let him disturb your true mission, don't forget why we are really here"
And Yoongi remembered, so he nodded.
".....I know Joon, I know"
