"Drop it" Jimin pointed a gun at the blonde in front, back toward him.

The 8mm glistened under the moonlight, cold and straight-edged. Yoongi let out a small chuckle, before closing his eyes for a brief moment, and raising both his arms into the air, with the chain dangling down his thumb.

"That was good" Yoongi lowered his head, "The throwing up, could have fooled anyone"

"Well I didn't need to fool anyone, just you" Jimin tightened his grip on the gun, "Drop the key, and turn around"

"This wasn't the real key so what's the point?" Yoongi turned around and looked Jimin in the eyes. The soft doe-like eyes he's grown so accustomed to, now sharp and cunning. Jimin reached into his back pocket and pulled out an identical key chain, then proceed to put that over his head.

Yoongi let out a smile. Looks like he didn't fell in love with a dork after all.

"How did you find out?"

"Really Yoongi, how can I not find out?" Jimin connected with Yoongi's eyes, "You might think I'm easy to read, but to be frank, the one that's head over heels in love wasn't me, it was you"

"It was so obvious what made you click, the way you look at me, you should have seen it"

"I could have made you dance however I wanted, but you just have to do this, don't you?" Jimin took a step closer, "I guess you've made your decision, and I've made mine"

If Yoongi said he wasn't a tad bit surprised he'd be lying. But then again, the raven haired boy standing in front of him is the second in command after Chief Soekjin, it wasn't by chance or by favor he made it there. He might have the face of innocence, but the bureau isn't a place that the innocent thrives.

"I'm gonna guess you know about Jungkook as well then?"

And that made Jimin laugh, still beautiful as ever.

"Jungkook, ah, Mr. Perfect. He was the guy that disappeared on Tae wasn't he? The mystery man, the one that he just can't talk about"

"I never understood Tae's taste in men, but then I never imagined Tae to get involved in this" Jimin's voice penetrated the room, "Who's the one that did it huh? Was it you? Jungkook? Or KNJ?"

And that's when Yoongi's eyes darkened, "It was you? You are the one that put the note...."

Jimin shrugged, "Was I now? But I do like cactus though, they are pretty until you go too far, then they can really make you bleed. How unfortunate, if only you'd notice sooner"

And Yoongi closed his eyes, and breath in deep.

He thought about everything that happened, from the beginning to the end, from the spring from the summer, to the glass to the sand, and everything in-between. But it all ended in Park Jimin's eyes.

In his eyes of lies.

Yoongi: "So everything was just an act?"

Jimin: "What?"

Yoongi: "Was any of it real"

Jimin contemplated for a moment, and voice emotionless, "You ask me if any of it was real, but you were gonna leave with that key tonight"

"You knew perfectly well what's gonna happen to me if you do that, yet you are ready to let me die, and you ask me if any of it was real"

"Min Yoongi, I was so wrong about you you know" Jimin licked his lips, "I waited 'til the last second, I wanted to see you prove me wrong. It wasn't until you made it out of my bedroom door, that it finally sunk in for me"

"That none of this was real"

There was silence for a while before Jimin broke out in a cackle.

"Though there's one thing I couldn't really figure out, why me? huh? During the shooting at Soekjin's office, why took the bullet for me?"

But Yoongi doesn't want to answer, because it hardly matters anymore. Now that he thinks back, all those long hours of meeting between Jimin and the Chief, they were telltale signs he turned a blind eye toward, and now he's facing his own demise, given by the person he was willing to die for.

And it wasn't true, what Jimin said.

Yoongi never planned on leaving him behind, he never planned on letting him face death alone. He was going to take the file, give it to Namjoon, and come back to face the consequences with him. He was ready to face endless tortures, just to make him understand.

But it's not necessary anymore. The note was fake, there was never a plan. Yoongi wanted to smile, so he did. Because Park Jimin was smart, and he can survive on his own.

"well, I'm glad that was same for the both of us, no feelings were hurt"

"What? What are you talking about?" Jimin furrowed his eyebrows.

"I said" Yoongi dragged out his usual smirk, "I'm glad you spared me the guilt trip, 'cause I was starting to feel bad about playing you"

"Playing me? What are you on about?"

"Ohhh, you didn't think it was possible?" Yoongi guffawed, "Why? Because Park Jimin is so attractive, because I gave you roses? And took you to dinner? If only you knew how many people I gave roses to, and how many women I went to dinner with y—"

"Shut up" Jimin snapped, "Shut your mouth"

"I guess the only thing I didn't do with you was take it to the final base, but I probably would have preferred a women"

And Park Jimin was shaking with eyes red, so Yoongi's smile disappeared.

"If you put on that face I'm gonna think you actually cared" Yoongi slowly lowered his arms, "Play it well until the end, Jimin"

"If you are gonna shoot me, you better do it now, because I won't be caught"

"Don't move!" Jimin shouted as Yoongi begin to inch backward towards the door, and a shot was fired, scraping the floor right in front of Yoongi's foot and ricochetted.

Yoongi was caught in a daze, he didn't expect Jimin to really pull the trigger.

But it was that moment, a bullet shattered the window in the living room and hit the 8mm in Jimin's hands, the gun flew out as a shooting pain zapped his purlicue. Jimin ducked behind the wall into his bedroom, and fell onto the floor, it was then that Yoongi saw the sniper on the other side of the building.

It was Namjoon.
