Chapter 23

"Here's your check" The waiter said as he smiles at us both. I start to get my purse out when Josh throws his hand out to me.

"No! I'm paying!" He says, getting his wallet out. He was so sweet but he can't pay. That will make it like a date. And I can't fall back in that trap.

"Josh! Seriously! I am paying. At least let me pay half!" I say, looking into his teasing eyes. He let out a sigh and runs his fingers through his hair.

"Fine" He chuckles. We throw our money on the saucer and I get up to put my bag on my back. We walk out of the cafe and walk side by side.

"So.." He starts, putting his hands in his amazingly fitted jeans . I blush and look down at the floor, sucking in my lips.

"You wanna go home now or go some where else?" He says in a calm voice as the strong wind drifted past us.

"Um...well it's my stepbrothers birthday today and it's kinda already late, I feel like I should go and celebrate with him." I say, holding my arms in the cold.

"Yeah that's fine let me walk you home" He says, taking his jacket off. I look at him in confusion. I put my hand on his back which makes his stop halfway through taking it off.

"Why are you taking your jacket off when it's cold?" I ask, looking at his defined jawline. I bite my lip in excitement.

"You're cold so I'm giving you it" He says, taking it off fully making me move my hand. He smiles and throws it around my shoulders. I giggle and pull the sides closer to my chest.

"It still looks cute on you" He says, quietly but nervously. I stay quiet and blush terribly. I couldn't leave him in silence and so I had to say something.

"um- th- thank you" I say, ruffling my hair and gulping. There was awkward silence for a bit as all my thoughts were washed away by his flirting tsunami.

"Um d-do you maybe wanna do this again tomorrow?" He says, coughing. I giggle and throw my head into his arm as his shoulder was too high up.

"Yeah I would like that" I giggle, looking down.

We finally made it to my house and the whole place was booming with music from the outside. I turn wide eyed as I walk up to the door.

I knock a few times but there was no answer. I shrug to Josh as I don't know how my brothers will be able to hear me. My mom and dad were still away for another week so I guess they were throwing a party for Namjoon.

"Let me try" Josh says, standing in front of me and banging on the door hard. I pout and hold my hands together patiently. Still no answer. I roll my eyes and get my phone out.

"Let me call them" I say, getting Jungkook's number up. I put the phone to my hot, flushed cheek and wait for the ringing to end.

"Sis what's up?" I hear Jungkook say.

"I am outside. Let me in." I say, hanging up the phone. I put it in my back pocket and huff. I look up to see Josh smiling at me. I smile grows on my face.

"What?" I say, walking up to him. He shrugged and began to laugh.

"What is it!!?" I say, slapping his arm multiple times.

"Okay okay okay..." He says, making me stop and fold my arms, pouting.

"I just really had fun with you today and just to see you with the exact same personality and laugh and humour....It just made me realise how much I missed you" He sighs, staring into my eyes. I feel a force pushing me towards him but because I was so hot and flustered I couldn't see if it was happening to him. I feel myself touch his chest and I sink into him. I smile as he wraps his arms around me and puts his chin on my head. I felt so protected. Suddenly I hear a blast of intense music come from the opened door.

"Who's that?"

I fling myself off of Josh and see Taehyung holding the door open with a lollipop in his mouth with loads of people behind him, dancing.

"um this..this is Josh" I say, as Taehyung looks him up and down, taking his lollipop out. I sigh and look at my shoes. I knew this wasn't going to end well.

"The one on the phone earlier on?" Tae says, walking up to him slowly. He was a bit taller than Josh which made it even more intimidating. Before anything could happen, I step in front of Josh and hold Tae's chest back. He rolls his eyes and stares down at me.

"I just wanna talk to him" He says, smirking at Josh, not taking his eyes off him the whole time.

"No you don't! Why are you ly-" Tae takes his lollipop out of his mouth and shoves it into mine.

"Shanice and Meghan are in the kitchen" He smiles at me, signalling me to leave them alone. I roll my eyes and walk into the house. I could barely hear myself think with how loud the music was and how many people there were just in the opening. I suck on the lollipop while walking to the kitchen to see Shanice sitting on the island and Meghan by the side of her. They smile as they see me however they were definitely a bit drunk. Meghan hobbles over to me and threads her arm through mine.

"Heyyyy girl where you beeeeeen!?" She giggles, her breath smelling of alcohol. I throw my face back in disgust and turn away. I turn back and notice how short her dress was. I gasp in shock and start to pull it down. She will thank me later when her ass isn't hanging out.

"What are you doing pabo?" She says, holding my back as I was crouched in front of her.

"I'm protecting you from rape. So you're the idiot for wearing this stupid dress" I smile, dusting her off. She downs the last of her drink and throws the solo cup on the table.

"Jungkook told me it was nice" She says, walking back up to Shanice. I freeze in my place as I watch her walk back. What did she just say?

"Wait Jungkook said what?" I say, holding her hands to make her listen to me instead of trying to get another drink.

"We all went shopping after their dancing music video thing. Jungkook picked mine and Jimin picked Shanice's" She says, as I look at Shanice's dress which showed a lot of cleavage. I roll my eyes and help Shanice off of the island.

"Where are my brothers?" I say, taking Shanice's drink and downing the rest of it. They looked at me wide eyed.

"What? You guys can get intoxicated but if I drink a tiny bit, it's a shock to you?" I say, starting to get angry. I needed to talk to my brothers.

"SO??" I say, as they both pout to the ground in embarrassment.

"They are in the living room" Shanice says, flicking her hair and looking like she was about to cry. I smile at her and grab one of their hands each.

"Thank you" I say, taking the lollipop stick out of my mouth and throwing it on the floor.
