Anna sat on a park bench. She watched her brother run around on the playground.
Suddenly, a girl walked up to her.
"Mind if I sit with you?" she asked.
"I don't mind." Anna responded, scooting over.
"I'm Hazel, by the way." the girl said, sitting down.
"I'm Anna." Anna said.
"What brings you to the park today?" she asks.
"I'm just babysitting my brother. What about you?" Anna replies.
"I'm just waiting for someone. I'm meeting them here, then I'm going to see a movie with them." Hazel responded.
"What movie?" Anna asks.
"I'm not sure. The person I'm going with is surprising me." Hazel replies.
"I have to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." Hazel said.
Hazel runs off and a boy walks over.
"Hi. Have you seen a girl named Hazel?" the boy asks. "I'm Frank, by the way."
"Actually, I have seen her." I reply. "She's in the bathroom."
"Okay." Frank says. "I just wait here."
After a while, Hazel comes back.
She sees the Frank and happily yells "FRANK!"
She runs to him and hugs him.
I watch them hugging, and immediately think they look cute together.
They stop hugging, and Hazel turns to me.
"It was really nice meeting you. Maybe we could meet up again tomorrow?" Hazel asks.
"Sure!" I say.
I write down something.
"Here's my phone number. Call me when you can!" I say.
"Will do!" Hazel says.
Then the two walked away. I still didn't know what movie they were going to see, but I did know I had made a new friend.
