As classes were on-going, Mark's eyes couldn't stay still on their professor that's discussing in front. From time to time he would steal glances on a certain gloomy classmate that's seated right next to the window. Instead of the equations being written on the board and being discussed, Mark didn't expect himself to pay more attention to a specific boy that's now looking outside the window.Donghyuck is usually participative during classes. He's the kind of student that would raise his hand to answer the question being asked, or be the one to ask a question if a lesson is not making sense for him. Their subject teacher noticed the student looking like he wasn't his usual self, which is why he had to call him out.
"Lee Donghyuck," With his name being mentioned by their professor, students inside the class turned their heads to look at him. "Care to share your thoughts?"
"I'm not sure if it's appropriate for class." Donghyuck said plainly, uninterested with the consequences he'll get for that attitude.
Mark wanted to not care about the situation that's happening, he wanted to force himself to divert his attention elsewhere, but the whispers inside the room were bothering him.
"Have you heard about his boyfriend?"
"You mean Ex? I saw that guy yesterday with someone else."
"Isn't it embarrassing though... Donghyuck was so proud of telling everyone about him."
"Yeah, like 'He's a gentleman' he said."
Gentleman? Mark scoffed. That asshole doesn't even have some decency in him. Hearing the gossip caused Mark's blood to boil.
He doesn't even know why he's mad in the first place. As far as he is concerned, he's not involved in the issue.
Even if he is interested, he has no right to meddle or to even worry about it. Anyway, their subject teacher decided not to bother Donghyuck anymore, so Mark shouldn't care either. So what if his ex-boyfriend cheated on him? What is Mark going to do about that? Aside from him not knowing who the fuck the Ex is, his relationship with Donghyuck doesn't go that deep. They are just classmates. Nothing more and nothing less.
"What a dick." Mark uttered quietly from his desk, pertaining to the talk of the room; Donghyuck's ex-boyfriend.
Well, Mark doesn't need to be that close to him to judge a person's character. And plus, he has been keeping an eye on Donghyuck for a while now. May it be just of pure interest or something else. Yes, Mark knows about the other one having a boyfriend. And yes, he knows that he doesn't deserve that kind of treatment. It's impossible not to hear about it when that's all Donghyuck would talk about to anyone. Maybe their classmates were right, maybe he was just being too overly proud about his ex-boyfriend.
But Mark would probably also let the whole world know if Donghyuck is his boyfriend.
"I mean..." Shaking his head aggressively, Mark gagged at what he had thought. "If I'd be in a relationship in general, I would shout it to the world."
