"You pushed me during fitness class just so the ball won't hit me?" Donghyuck let out a scoff, an expression of disbelief quite evident on his face. "Talk about good intentions, but wrong execution."Mark gave him a look. "What did you think it was?"
"I thought you were just in the mood to annoy me!" Donghyuck exclaimed, still stunned at how he just got to know the misunderstanding he has been carrying for a while. "That was the start of my villain arc, Mark. I started to see you as someone who would make people mad just because you feel like it."
"So... You've hated me since then?" Mark genuinely asked the question.
Shaking his head, Donghyuck turned to face him. "Hate is such a strong word. I just dislike you."
The sun had already set and the moon took over the night. Their day ended with them simply enjoying one another's company. May they be eating, having fun, or just talking about themselves. Either way, they generally adored each other's presence.
With Donghyuck knowing that this guy's favorite fruit is watermelon, Mark also found out that the other male loved video games. From Mark finding out that Donghyuck's favorite ice cream is chocolate chip with caramel drizzle and M&M's toppings, to Donghyuck finding out that Mark just didn't know how to approach people that's why he always gets misunderstood. They both were able to know each other more as the day went on. Honestly, Mark forgot that his purpose was actually making Donghyuck move on from his ex-boyfriend. He genuinely just enjoyed his company. Mark most especially cherished the time they had together.
It saddened him to know that it had to end this way because Donghyuck had a curfew.
"That sounds the same to me." Having his brows furrowed, Mark couldn't seem to differentiate the two terms being mentioned.
"Hate is me despising you. I don't hate you, I can still tolerate your annoying ass." Donghyuck argued with him. "Disliking someone has a small possibility of still liking the person's guts."
"Whatever makes you sleep at night, Sunshine." Mark gave up, knowing he wouldn't win the argument. Or rather, he knew he would just agree to whatever the other male would say.
By now, they were both walking down the street to Donghyuck's subdivision. Mark insisted on walking him home despite the latter reassuring him that he'd be safe even if he goes home alone.
Well, not like Donghyuck is complaining about having Mark walk with him.
In fact, he loved that they were still together.
"Wait. So the time you made me wear your shirt rather than Jeno's," Donghyuck suddenly recalled a past memory of the same situation. "You were just concerned that his shirt was stinky than what you said before that it didn't suit me?"
