"I'm bored!"Jisung eyed his roommate who began to complain in the quiet aisle they were in. "Le, it has only been 30 minutes."
Right. 30 minutes into the task and they were far from done. Not that Jisung expected to finish in a flash. He just didn't think that it was going to be this exhausting. Their library was big enough, and now they had to organize the book aisle per aisle and arrange them genre by genre. Jisung was doing all the work while Chenle kept on tailing from behind, complaining and ranting about how his day just started.
"Just when I decided to finally attend class?" Chenle scoffed in disbelief. "This is what greets me first? A punishment?"
"You complaining won't be able to bring the books to their respective shelves, Le." Jisung told him, going back and forth from the table that had a pile of books and to the shelf to place it there.
An idea then came to Chenle's mind. It had something to do with his privileges. "Ji, I'm rich. How about we fire that officer in charge—"
"Zhong Chenle." Jisung warned him, stopping at a table and taking the last pile of books there, and handing it to his roommate who stood beside him. "That's under philosophy. 3rd row in the second aisle."
Seeing that his money won't convince him, Chenle showed a pout and had no choice but to follow his orders as he was also included to do this task. Now that his roommate was away for a while, Jisung let out a sigh before moving on to another batch of books. He strode to another section and began continuing his job in arranging them one by one.
This might not be as disgusting as Mark's and Donghyuck's duty, and at least they were not under the sun outside to clean like Jaemin, Jeno, and Renjun— but this tired them out equally. Every corner of the library was a mess, with books left on the table and others were disarranged on the selves. The library closed for the day just because Chenle and Jisung had to clean the mess up before it will open again for students to use.
"It's break time!"
Flinching from his spot, Jisung turned to his side and caught his roommate giving him an adorable smile. "Quit slacking, Le. We need to get this over with. I have a group report later."
"Hey, I also have lessons to catch up to!" Chenle argued with him.
Placing the last book he carried, Jisung folded his arms across his chest as he faced the stubborn male. "Look at you, finally facing the consequences of your actions."
A gasp was then heard from Chenle. "Excuse me? Who took me out on a date?!"
"And who got me worried because his Exes made him miserable?!" Jisung clapped back at him.
