I started to have a meltdown right there in the driveway. I didn't care if anyone saw me
"What did you do to me!!" I cried
I cried and cried for hours, I needed to get inside, but I was already in my room. I cursed and knocked a glass cup off my dresser. It broke on impact with the wall.
"Why am I so fast!" I shouted
I turned around to go to the kitchen, but like all the other times, I was already there. I started to curse, and I got more worked up than I already was. I started to break everything in sight, I couldn't stop, I wouldn't stop. As if someone was calling out for me to stop the doorbell rang, and to my surprise, Abby was at my front door.
"Rick...please calm down" whimpered Abby
Abby was crying, it was clear that she heard me from outside, and that scared her. I felt more like a monster than an actual person now
"I can't" I mumbled, looking down
"Why" Abby asked
"why...why!!!...Why do you think Abby, I almost killed Dom, I'm fast as a freaking jet, what more evidence do you need!" I shouted
"Rick please...calm down you're scaring me" cried Abby
"You think I'm a monster...I see the look in your eyes" I cried
Silence filled the air after I said that. She knew it, I knew it. Dr. Delacroix made me a monster, I should just disappear.
"I don't think you're a monster Rick...you just scared me" said Abby
"But..."
Abby put her finger up to my lips, Silencing my words.
"Shhhhhhh" she said softly
My eyes started to tear up and she smiled, She knew that I had gone through something terrible. She pulled me towards her and she wrapped her arms around me, comforting me. I couldn't help it I started to sob into her arm.
"Shhhhh, just let it out" Abby said softly
I did, I think I sobbed for hours, but I eventually stopped, Abby suggested something awesome.
"How about we test your powers" said Abby
"How exactly do we do that" I asked
"I know a place and I have the stuff there already" replied Abby
"What is the place" I asked
"The local Airport" she said
"Why do you ask"
I smiled at her.
"Might as well start" I said
She looked at me confused, I picked her up bridal style, and went to the airport, but to my surprise, we were already there.
