"Hey man! it's me" Brett said, stretching his arms wide apart
I pulled him into a corner so no one could see me and him taking. My heart was beating out of my chest, and I was terrified out of my mind. I can't die here, and not because of Brett either.
"Dude! Keep your mouth shut! if you say my real name and I get caught, I'm dead! Like seriously dead!" I said
"What?" Brett asked
"Look I'm not the same...Rick you knew 3 years ago. I'm trying to find Abby because this businessman who is supposed to be dead has her captive." I said
Brett looked at me with a confused expression. typical.
"Wait what...?" Brett asked again
He shook his head.
"Actually! I have no idea what's going on, but I'm gonna help you" He said
I stood there, confused
"Dude you'll freaking die if you came with me" I said
I saw Brett reach into his back pocket and pull out a revolver.
"Dude I got dis, I have a gun" Brett said
"It doesn't matter, gun or not, you'll die if you don't know how to use it" I said
"I know how to use it!" Brett said
I let out an annoyed sigh...I mean, there is no way I can get out of this, so I guess I have to let Brett come along. Brett and I walk into the elevator and I press the button that was marked with the number 51, the elevator began to rise
"So...where do you think Abby's is being held at" Brett asked
"She isn't being "held" Brett, she works for them now" I said
The elevator doors opened and Brett and I walk out into the hallway, I pulled out my handgun from pocket. Brett already had his magnum out and was checking the hallways for any movement, for someone like Brett he is taking this pretty seriously. I began checking each door seeing if Abby's name tag was on any of them, before I went to the other side I heard Brett shouting.
"Rick! I found her room" He shouted
I made my way to Brett
"Dude! you need to keep your voice down, and it's Dash" I said
I looked at the door and Brett was right, Abby's name was on the door.
"How did you find it so quickly?" I asked
"I picked up her scent here" He said, smiling like an idiot.
"Her...scent?" I asked
"Yep, dude...this room has Abby's sent all over it" He said
"Dude that's...kinda messed up, do you have some power to" I asked
"Yep, I am basically a bear, I have a powerful nose" Brett said
That would probably explain the fact that he's also dumb.
"How could you even tell it was Abby's scent" I asked
"Dude don't ask" He said, clearly scared about the question I asked
"Why" I said
"She started to flirt with me" He said
I felt my heart fall into my stomach. I started to question myself, why she ditched me for Brett? But then I realized that isn't her doing, it's the brainwashing. I put the key card up to the doors lock, and I heard the door unlock.
