Abby was sitting on her couch, still shaken up by what happened that morning. She was talking to some of her friends before she heard gunshots. She froze, not sure on what to do, she decided to go to her window, trying to see if she could find the source of the sound. She looked outside and the gunshots were coming from across the street, a bright yellow line shot out from the parking lot, and she almost dropped her phone from the sight. It came from Rick, she gasped, not sure what to do next. She threw herself against her wall and covered her mouth, Rick was in danger, what should she do...should she call someone...

"Wait...I forgot I have powers too" Abby said

Abby opened up her window and jumped out, making her way over to the gunshots. She saw Rick closing in, but as she got closer she saw that...Fisher was holding a gun towards him.

"Fisher?! W...why?!" Abby thought

She didn't know what to do, so she took cover behind a bush.

"Alright...Rick enough running around" said the guy.

"Alright alright...you got me" said Rick

Abby saw Rick hold his hands up, and his legs were shaking. It was clear that he was scared, but she noticed his arm was covered in blood

"Oh no!" cried Abby

Abby covered up her mouth as she knew that Fisher heard her.

"Did you hear that Rick? I think your girlfriend showed up " laughed Fisher

Fisher started to walk towards Abby.

"Fisher! Don't you fucking touch her" shouted Rick

That didn't stop Fisher though, he kept walking towards the bushes where Abby was. Abby was starting to get scared, but she had to act. She got up and punched Fisher, which knocked him down on the ground. Rick was taken by surprised by Abby's sudden actions but took advantage of the situations. I ran over to the gun and kicked it away.

"Abby, call the police" said Rick

:-------:

The police were there about half an hour after Abby called them, they tied Fisher up and got him the cruiser, and they came to me after.

"You're Rick, right? That guy that took down the rich businessman" asked the Officer

"Please I'm flattered, but please...call me Dash." I said in response

"Whoa! is that some sort of hero name you came up with" The officer said back, clearly amused.

"Yes and no...I wouldn't really call myself a hero yet, and I also had help with the name" I respond

I looked back at Abby, smiling. She smiled back with a hint of red in cheeks. The officer and I talked for a while, and after a while, he left with fisher in the car. I felt a wash of relief flow over me, but one thing I was still wondering about was if Mr. Delacroix was still alive. I mean we fell like what....5 stories from that tower? That had to kill him, a fall like that had to, or if not, break every bone in his body. Abby saw that I was stressing because I felt her hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, what's wrong?" asked Abby

"Oh...it's nothing" I said

"I can tell that you're worried about something...please tell me" Abby said, clearly worried

"I'm wondering if Mr. Delacroix is actually still alive" I said

"What?! I thought you killed him!" questioned Abby

"That's what I thought, but that guy that was stalking you plus fisher... they say otherwise" I answered back

"Well you can't let that hold you down" Abby said

"Yeah...I'll try to have it not bother me. I'm just worried if they are true...h...he might come back for you" I said

My voice started to shake as I spoke, I couldn't handle the thought of Abby being retaken by him. It's funny, these powers are like a blessing, but a curse at the same time. It makes me stronger, but a wanted man.

"Hey, I appreciate you looking out for me, but I have my own powers. I'm a big girl now...I can handle myself" laughed Abby

I couldn't help but laugh, she was right. She could look after herself with her powers, I was just worrying about nothing, besides...Mr. Delacroix was probably dead. I was about to leave before I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder, I forgot that I was shot by Fisher, and the unbearable pain came back, but Ambulance arrived and treated my bullet wound, I thanked them and then went home with Abby, it was getting late, so I offered her to stay at my place. She gladly agreed, so I told her she could have my bed while I took the couch. It was about midnight before I finally fell asleep.
