I woke up the next morning around 8:00 and I was feeling alot better. I threw on a tank top and left my room, I made my way down the hallway when I noticed Brett along the way.
"Hey man!" I called
"Hey dude" Brett called back
"What are you up to this morning?" I asked
"I was just about to head outside to do some training, wanna come with?" Brett offered
"Sure! it's been awhile since I had some training, due to me recovering and all" I said
Brett and I made our way outside where the training court was, it was a huge open area with all sorts of terrain, which means you could basically do anything inside it. When we arrived I saw Abby and Jessica training together, each time one fell down the other laughed, I smiled.
"Seems like Abby and Jessica are getting along" I said
"Yeah they have been best friends since Jessica helped her cope with the whole almost killing you thing" Brett said
Brett and I walked over to the wooded area. The court had basically anything you wanted in a training area.
"So you want to spar?" Brett asked
"S...spar?!" I cried
"Yeah...that's what I just said" Brett said
"I mean...sure why not!" I said, shrugging
"I'll have you know that I won't go easy on you" Brett said
"As will I" I said, smiling
Brett got into a combat stance, so I activated my eye.
"Alright Dash! you ready?" Brett asked
"As I'll ever be" I replied
Brett charged at me and I charged at him, the ground cracked as I took off. Brett wasn't prepared for that so I had the upper hand. I struck him across the face and sent him flying through the trees.
"Come on Brett! I didn't even hit you that hard!" I called out taunting him
Brett jumped out from the trees and caught me by surprise, I quickly turned around and Brett and I . I was pushed back by the impact, and we slid out of the forest. Abby and Jessica was watching the whole thing. Brett and I kept pushing each other back and forth trying to break each others grip.
"That's the best you got?" I asked
"Ha, you wish" Brett replied
Brett got down on a knee and threw me over his head, I slammed against a tree, losing my breath. I ran to him, sliding into his legs, causing Brett to be knocked down. He shot back up and hit me in the chin, him and I were equally skilled. I decided to but the training I've done to the test, I spun around and did a tornado kick, but he caught it with his arms. I turned around and came at him with my fist, It caught his cheek. It dazed him a little but he recovered fast.
"Hey guys!" shouted Mercedees
Brett and I turned over to face Mercedees.
"We're about to head out, so don't beat each other senseless okay?" Mercedees said
"Okay we'll stop" I said
"Meet me at the garage 11:00 sharp" Mercedees said
I nodded and looked back at Brett.
"You put up a good fight!" I said, extending my hand for a handshake
"As for you man" Brett replied
We shook hands in agreement, and we started to make our way to the armoury before Abby and Jessica stopped us.
"Rick you were amazing!!" Abby cheer
"That was amazing Dash!!" Jessica said, winking
Abby, who was clearly annoyed, stared at Jessica for awhile, before looking back at me.
"Hey it was nothing...you should give Brett his fair share of praise!" I said, pointing at Brett.
Abby pulled me into a hug, well...it was more of her pulling me towards her than anything
"Hey Rick...could we go on a walk after we get back?" Abby asked
Jessica did the same thing pulling me towards her. I was starting to get uncomfortable
"Actually! I would love if we could go get a bite to eat if that's okay" Jessica asked
They kept pulling me towards them, arguing what they want me to do with them. They were fighting with each other, and I was right in the middle of it.
"Uhh... ladies? maybe we should calm down" I said
"Shut up Jessica! I have known him longer! Hell, we were in the same school and same class!!" Abby said, aggressively
"Oh yeah Abby! He took me out running, like at midnight? It was more like a late night date than anything!!" Jessica scoffed
"Wow really? I didn't know...Maybe it's because he has already done that with me more times than I can count!!" Abby laughed
"Wow...your some girlfriend alright, you always let yourself get taken so you can be the damsel in distress. You have a power right? Well why not use it for once!" Jessica said
Abby smirked at Jessica then she gave me a kiss on the cheek, trying to set dominance or something. I was too busy trying to wrap my head around what was going on.
"Son of a bitch!!" Jessica shouted
She tackled Abby to the ground and the two girls were rolling around on the ground, punching each other, and pulling each others hair. I turned around to look at Brett.
"Uh dude...a little help!?" I asked
He looked at the carnage going around on the ground, and shook his head.
"Sorry man, this one is all on you" Brett said, turning around and walking away.
"Ah hell" I cursed under my breath
I turned back around and saw that Jessica was aiming a sniper rifle at Abby, while Abby was holding a sword pointing it at Jessica. I have to say this escalated way faster than I was anticipating.
"Put the gun down Jessica!!" Abby shouted
"No!!" Jessica shouted back
I was looking back and forth between them.], I didn't know what to do.
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't pull the trigger!" Jessica shouted
I held up my hand shaking them to get there attention.
"Jesus fucking christ!! calm down!!" I shouted
"Jessica! don't do it!!" Abby shouted
"Screw you he's mine!!" Jessica screamed
Jessica pulled the trigger, and before I could react the bullet stopped.
"W...what?!" cried Jessica
I recognized the power, it was Mercedees. I'm glad she showed up when she did. I looked over to her, and she did not look happy
"Knock it off!!" shouted Mercedes
"I'm sorry ma'am..." Jessica said
"You guys are late!! grab your gear and let's go" Mercedes said
