Jema's

I saw my girls on a deep thoughts in our garden.

I decided to join them to have some talk.

We are open in our family, I don't want the kids to be secretive kaya as much as possible gusto namin na naguusap usap palagi.

"Mukhang ang lalim nang mga iniisip natin ha."

"What's bothering po ba? Care to share to Mama?"

Lumapit sakin si Danielle with a sad face, I kinda worried kasi Dannie is a happy girl tahimik lang siya pero sobrang masayahin.

"Mama my classmates said we have a wierd family kasi we don't have a dad."

Huminga ako ng malalim I know time will come na maririnig namin to sa kanila.

Lumapit na din sakin si Dionne nakakunot ang noo at salubong ang kilay.

"Sabi nila Ma, We are wierd kasi Dada and You are both girls. Why is that like that Ma?"

"Diba we explained it already to you na, Dada and I are bisexuals, we love each other romantically like boys and girls do kaya kami nagpakasal. You see we can love anyone regardless if it's a boy, a girl, a animals or anything as long as the love you feel here is true." I pointed there heart as much as possible we don't want to sugarcoat anything kaya ng magkamalay sila pinagusapan namin ang lahat and were trying to explain to them anything as simple as possible for them to understand it.

Tuwing nagtatanong sila sinasagot namin sila ng totoo pero hindi talaga maiiwasan na may mga araw na ganito kaya naman we always make sure na nakakausap namin sila

"But we don't have a Daddy, Mama." Dannie said.

"You have Tatay naman ha, Daddy Cy and Papa Wigi diba." I answered.

I'm so thankful to have Cy and Luigi who stands as there father figure whenever they need buti nalang talaga may mga kaibigan kami to help us.

"But Tatay is our Lolo and Daddy Cy and Papa Wigi is our Ninong, Where is our Daddy the real one.?" Dionne asked.

"Sabi nila our Daddy is a robot kasi we are made in a Laboratory, Is our Dad a robot mama?" Dionne continues.

Na shock ako sa sinabi niya, iba talaga when you have a smart kid.

"Someone's getting hot seat here ha." Deanna said as she joins the conversation.

Buti nalang andito si Deanna siya ang palaging nageexplain sa mga bata pag ganitong sobrang matanong sila.

Kinandong niya ang mga bata and start to explain all the things that's bothering them.

"First of all both of you are not made in Laboratory, you are made by Love , Dada and Mama love each other a lot we decided to made you but since Dada and Mama are both girls we need a little help so we asked help to a doctor and pray for the Lord to grant us our prayers, then God gave the both of you, then Mama carry you in her Tummy just like Deandre your brother diba."

Tumango sila.

"We are your parents,I'm you Dada your mom and Dad at the same time and that's your Mama your mom and dad at the same time. Isn't that amazing? Who said you don't have a Daddy we are your Daddy. "

Ngumiti sila.

Buti nalang andito si Deanna.

"We are not wierd, we just have a family that's unusual kasi kaya akala nila weird but we are just like them diba."

"Do you feel wierd to have us as your Dada and Mama?" She asked the Kids.

Umiling sila.

"Nah, not at all its masaya Dada, We are lucky to have you and Mama you are amazing." Dannie said.

Hearing it on them makes my heart fond. Yung feeling mo your raising them right.

We end our discussion well we make sure na lahat ng tanong nila nasagot namin and we make sure na pag natapos ang usapan namin wala na silang kahit anong iniisip.

Deanna and I are married for 8 years now pero feeling ko parang kailan lang yung staredown na nagsimula ng lahat.

Yung andami dami naming naging problema, We almost give up when even the odds our against us but we choose to write our own story together, we choose to fight even if we need to defy the Odds.

I'm glad to have her at kahit paulit ulit kami bumalik sa nakaraan handa akong paulit ulit pagdaanan ang lahat basta sa huli siya parin.

Basta sa huli ako at siya parin.

Deanna's

I'm watching my family as there busy preparing for our family outing, Jema and I are making sure that we are free every sunday for an outing para the kids are always have something to look forward habang busy sila sa school. Dannie and Dionne are both on grade school na while our bunso Deandre ang baby boy namin just turned one. Jema continue her Volleyball career and now she's one of the Coaching staff ng AdU by the time baka siya na yung maging head coach, Ako namin still on business industry handling some of our companies here in the Philippines and in US, major stockholder padin ng Rebisco ang family namin, nagvovolleyball padin ako, ako ang coach ng mga bata na nagiging hilig na rin ang Volleyball.

Jema hug me siguro nakita niya na tinititigan ko siya.

8 years na kaming kasal pero hindi nagbago ang pagmamahal ko sakanya.
Parang everytime magigising ako naiinlove ako sakanya ng paulit ulit.

I hold her hands and smile at her.

"I love you."

Natawa siya, kinikilig parin siya sa tuwing sinasabihan ko siya bigla ng I love you.

"Parang baliw, I love you so much, tara na nga tulungan mo na kami." She said

I can't help but to smile as I imagine how much pain and tears we been through just to have this family.

Ang layo na ng narating ng pagmamahal namin sa isa't isa.

Will never gonna make it without each other.

I'm glad I have her.

I'm glad I choose to fight for her.

I'm glad we took a risk.

Our story will always be the best story for me.

I can finally conclude..

We defy the Odds.
