*Neville's Point of View*

I woke not in the way I fell asleep. I woke up with Amethyst in my arms. My face turned bright red. I didn't mean to have this happen! Were.... friends? I guess.

She was still asleep. Whenever I moved she snuggled into me even more.

What was I supposed to do in this situation?

Wake her up?

How did we end up like this?

I've never been in this position before.

No one had come down yet, and it was still pretty early in the morning.

She looked really pretty just laying there. Her hair fell perfectly on her shoulders and she had one side shaved. Her soft lips, the way I could feel her breathing in and out slowly. I watched her as her grey eyes fluttered open. She looked up at me and her pink lips curled into a smile. I smiled back at her.

"Hey." She whispered.

"Hi." I whispered back.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep on you."

"Oh it's fine."

"You look a little uncomfortable..."

"No, I'm fine. Really." I tried to control my blushing.

"If you say so. I have to get up and get back to my dorm. My robes and things are there. I'll be right back." She said.

I watched her as she slowly got up and stretched. I caught a glimpse of a tattoo on her lower back as her tank top rose when she stretched. It looked like a falcon.

"I'll be back." She said, smiling before walking out the door.

I walked down the stairs, now in my robes, to see Amethyst sitting on the couch with Hermione, Ron and Harry. Fred, George and Ginny were sitting in chairs around the coffee table.

"How could you twits think she was Malfoy?" Ginny laughed.

"She looks nothing like him." Hermione giggled.

"Don't make fun! Besides, if we didn't think she was Malfoy, we would've never met her." Fred said.

"Oh hey, Neville!" Harry said, everyone stood up and turned look at me.

"Come on! Food is waiting in the great hall!" Ron said, opening the door. We all rolled our eyes at him.

"He loves food. It's actually quite horrid." Ginny told Amethyst, and she giggled.

She sounded cute when she giggled.

We all walked to the great hall, Amethyst and I ended up walking behind everyone. I looked over to her. She had a tight blouse, skirt and Slytherin tie on. She caught me staring. She just smiled at me and pushed her pink hair behind her ear.

"What does your tattoo say?" I asked, pointing to her wrist.

"'Free at last' and the date I broke free from my chamber." She responded.

We walked into the great hall. We all sat down at the Gryffindor table, but Amethyst walked over and sat at the Slytherin table and seated herself across from Malfoy.

"I thought Amethyst would sit with us." Ginny said, sadly. "She seemed so nice."

"If she sat over here, she would stick out even more than she already does." George said.

"But Luna sits with us sometimes." Ginny argued.

"That's different. Luna isn't a Slytherin and the daughter of Bellatrix LeStrange." Fred reasoned.

Ginny gave up arguing and ate her food, still clearly a little upset. They all talked on, but I couldn't stop thinking about Amethyst and hanging out last night.

"Because you're cute, silly!"

I smiled to myself and ate my breakfest before heading to Potions.
