Mason's point of view

-----------------------------------Monday--------------------------------------------

It was a mess in my head. The Vampires had escaped again. We had her, but there was something terribly wrong. I had a couple of hypotheses.

A) She was under some kind of Magic Spell only witches did in Disney movies

B) She was going to be with Aron very soon.

I know it's weird to think, but the thing about vampires is... they are beautiful. They are irresistably gorgeous. Well, humans would go crazy for them. The only thing that made us not go crazy for beauty was their smell. Vampires are irresistable in every way. They are good looking, speak perfectly, adjust very well and smell amazing. For humans this smell is unconcious. They don't really smell them and they shouldn't. People like me know how they smell: dead. They smell rotten. We smell the dead veins and not working guts. We smell their icy heart that has been in there frozen for 100 years. If you think about meat, you know that even if it's frozen,... after 100 years you can't eat it,...

Mason focus, we have to get to the lab and see how thing's are going for Layla! We ain't here to talk about meat and vampires!

WHY DOES EVERYONE INTERRUPT MY PRIVATE MOMENT! Seriously... I had no time alone! I wanted to be human again so I didn't have Eric pissing me off.

Then change dude, I think it's quit annoying that you think about me as annoying.

I did.

I looked at Eric in his wolf form. He nodded and I knew what he thought. Great thing about being an Alpha, you read their minds all the time because you know them. Even if they are in their human form. I ran back to the car where I grabbed my $2 shirt and $6 pants and got them on...

'Damn.' I said as I looked to my pants. It was tight. It felt horrible. I went in, apperently Eric didn't feel the need to dress himself. I got behind the weel and drove as fast as I could. Then when I got in town I saw my dad. He was a police officer so I had to do something about my driving skills.

I put on a goofy smile as I passed my dad, but he pulled me over.

'Hey dad...' I said awkward.

'Hey son,..' He looked inside.

'Is he naked?' my dad asked. I looked at Eric.

'Euhmm... yeah...' my dad looked at me and softly slapped my face. I chuckled and so did my dad. I guess we were cool? Well,... It's my dad... Weirdo,.. he's a cop... that says enough.

'I'll better get going.' I said. My dad nodded.

'You crazy kids.' he said mostly to himself. Not that those comments did something to me. I had one target. I knew what I had to do and in which position I was put in. The thing was,.. I didn't want to show my weakness, but it was impossible when I was arround her. Her.

She was so beautiful.. Fuck Vampires. She was my world. She was the reason why I was here and why I excisted... The thing was... when I was in my wolf form it was so hard to not think of her. Luckily nobody had found out yet.

As we reached the lab I got out and thought of her last reactions. She was my mate, but didn't feel any connection with me. Even though she was no werewolf, didn't mean that she was not my mate... I mean I heard too many stories. There was something wrong. The other part was the Vampire who wanted her, not because he was in love, but more because he would gain power if she turned a vampire too.

Only the thought disgusted me..... She... a vampire? My god... I rather throw myself of a cliff or eat all the guts of my pack members... No...

We walked in and the moment I saw a robe for Eric I grabbed it.

'You know, since your mate recognizes you as her mate, you act opener...' I said. That was not very positive.

'Dude, I really don't care.' he said. I liked Eric a lot. Only, he could be a pain in the ass sometimes.

We walked in the lab of Dr. F. Thompson. I saw her lying on a couch. Frederik, aka her dad, stood there. He was emotional.

'How is she?' Eric asked. Frederik looked at us and smiled.

'She's ... euhm... in process...' Frederik said, confusing me... What the fuck did that mean?

'Aron wants her to be a vampire, to make her his. So, he is convincinh her to be his... Then his ability to make people nuts has increased the dosis.... I can't do anything to help my baby.' he crashed in... He cried.

'Eric, Logan, leave.' I demanded. I walked up to him.

'Don't let them destroy you. You're an Alpha! You are Alpha Thompson, you have to be strong for your family, your pack!' I said and tried to cheer him up. What if I would have a daughter? How would that go? There was nothing I could say to him, to make him feel better, but I could make him stop crying.

'Mason.' Frederik began.

I looked up and had the feeling something was about to go wrong.

'Yeah?' I asked noticing I was staring at Layla.

'I want to make a deal with the Vampire. Aron. I need you to find him.' Frederik said. I felt on duty. I felt needed. Then I heard a sigh out of Layla's body. That eased me down. I looked at her. One day I would wake up next to that face. That peaceful, resting face.

'I will.' I said.
