Layla's point of view

'I swear.' I said to Nate. Nate scratched his back head. He exhaled deeply and his brown eyes looked all over the place.

'But that means he is here? Or what?' Nate asked a bit confused by my story.

'How should I know, Mason said they couldn't come here!' I said a bit paniced. What if Aron was here?

'Well,.. They can't do anything here, but they were here last night. Mason's father died,... You know... They brought him to our kitchen and put him there.' Nate said calmly. I slicked.

'Layla, don't be afraid.' Nate added. I shook my head. I felt something. Something I had to do.

'Nate, can you explain the "Mating" process very very slowly and understandable.. because I feel like it's rape.' Nate looked up from my question and started smirking.

'W-Why? Who told you about that? Wait,.. Is Mason your mate?' He said a bit goofy. I looked at him with my eyes narrowed saying indirectly I wasn't expecting backfire questions.

'Sorry.' he said and jumped up. Wow... I had that kind of an effect on people... Cool...

'Euhmmm,.. yeah,.. well there is a male and a female...' he began.

'We never had a gay pair in the pact.' he added mostly for himself. I sat down and relaxed while listening to his story and frankly he sat down too and relaxed.

'Well, you get the part where you only get one mate? Well,.. If you think about it, it's the most beautiful love story you can imagine. It's pure love. First you "mark" someone. That's nothing more than a ring humans put on eacheother's finger to let the other people see that they are a couple. That they are eacheother's. The "marking" is actually a bite, it's placed on the softest spot in the neck of your mate. It doesn't hurt... At least for us, for humans it could of course kill.' he said everything so slowly like he was telling a legend. It was like I was visualizing everything.

'You haven't been marked, have you?' I asked. He chuckled and shook his head.

'My mate wants to wait, it's not very easy...' he said.

'Is she human?' I asked. Again he smirked and smiled. He stood up and walked over to the mini bar and grabbed some liquor.

'Is that it?' I asked. He again shook his head and walked up to me.

'No, then comes the sex. You know how that works. And it's very common to get pregnant of your first time since it's almost impossible to use protection other than birthcontrol... but,.. it doesn't work very well.' he said with  a grin. It made me curious.

'Mason is your mate, isn't he?' he asked. I kind of relaxed. It felt good that Nate brought such a relaxed state of mind to the room. I wondered about Mason... Was he Okay? I mean I think I saw... Aron in his eyes. I mean I didn't recognize Mason. I didn't feel a thing. It was like he was a completely different person.

'Layla.' Nate stated.

'Nate, he was talking about me getting hurt.' I said. Nate narrowed his eyes a bit looking like he was confused. Then you saw a light bump... an idea come in his head.

'Oh,..' his face fell down and his eyes were on the ground.

'You're human.' he said a bit... almost disappointed. I rolled my eyes... So?

'There is a chance you... won't get it.... So,.. don't like it... So,... get hurt,... feels like rape... Maybe die...'The last part of his chopped sentence was high pitched.

'DIE?!' I squeecked. Nate blushed.

'You're cute when you do that.' he answered.

'Go Fuck yourself Nate.' I hissed.

He backed off. I slicked... I might die?

'Can I become a werewolf, like you guys?' I asked desperatly... I mean... I didn't want to die... come on! I was 18 for a day!

'Layla, be patient... If you wait till your... 22? Then you'll know what you want!' he tried to put it comfortably. It didn't work so much to be honest.

'NATE!' My mind exploded in my head. I was thinking about the good and bad stuff. About Mason being my mate and me being involved in his business... if you know what I'm saying....

Aron, Mason and Aron... Oh my God... I forgot about Katy... SHE WAS PREGNANT!

'Why is this happening? Can you transform me? Like right now?' I asked gasping for air... I wanted control... something in my body went wrong... A switch that was turned off or something.

'Layla,, breath... Tell me... What is going on?!' he said holding my back and belly.

'Mason.' I manageed to get out. I felt someone choking me... at least it felt like someone was choking me.

Nate paniced and ran out the room. I fell on the floor and when I could gasp one breath screamed as loud as I could.

'Layla!' I heard Katy scream.

That's when it became all white...
