Hannah POV
I walked out onto the soft soil that was surrounding my feet and I looked out onto the small little village down the hill.
"Hannah get up here NOW" my dad cried. He's a ruthless old man. He beats me all the time. He killed my mother when I was 6(I'm 16 now) right in front of me.
I walked back into the house and walked into the lounge where my dad was waiting for me and he ordered "go get some bread from the village and come straight home".
I then said "why do I need to get it? Why can't you do it?".
My dad stood up and punched me three times in the face. Blood was flowing out of my nose when he said "don't ever talk to me like that again". He looked pleased to see me weak.
I didn't reply to him after that and he got angry and punched me again. I fell to the floor and he started kicking me in the side. A couple of seconds later I blacked out.
I must have only blacked out for a couple of minutes because when I woke up my dad was staring right at me then he spoke "now go and get the bread".
I didn't argue, instead I just nodded, picked up some money and headed down to the village.
When I reached the village I came across 'Derek's bakery' and I walked in. I had bruises on my face so people are looking at me strangely but I ignore it.
"Can I have two loafs of bread please" I said politely.
"Yes you may" the women behind the counter said.
She passed me the bread then she said "have a good day". I nodded and walked out the shop.
I'm getting embarrassed now because people keep looking at me and laughing because of my bruises. I swear if that man so much as touches me again I'll run away.
I head back to my house where my dad awaits me and the bread.
