Insomnia - Throne Room

"So you mean to tell us that the four maidens isn't some made up children's story?"

After Cor and Regis brought the four children up to speed on what the appearance of the Hydrean's mark on Y/n's upper arm signified, the four children bombarded the older men with question after question.

"That is correct Squall, and the fact that Y/n has had an encounter with the Hydrean, it has only proven that the Maidens are once again under threat."

"But I still don't get how this is related to me in any way, shape or form. It makes no sense."

"The servants of the six have long been the protectors of the Maidens. Each one with an extremely powerful connection to the crystal of the Lucii."

As Cor and Regis tried to help Y/n understand his role in all that was to come, the young boy was still having a hard time coming to terms with it all. Even with Iris, Squall and Rinoa with him and trying to help, Y/n just couldn't grasp it.

"And if the Hydrean has indeed engaged in a trial with you Y/n, then we don't have a moment to lose. Cor, take these four and have the Glaives train them, find out what areas they need to improve on. They need to be ready."

"Understood, sire. Come along children, we have much to do and not a lot of time in which to achieve it."

As Cor and the four young disciples left the Throne Room, the young boy couldn't help but remain concerned about everything that's happened within the past week, let alone the past month since Traxis fell to the Daemons. As Y/n fell further into his own thoughts, the young boy began to linger behind the rest of the group prompting Cor to call out to the boy dragging him from his thoughts.

"Come on Y/n, can't have you being behind schedule now can we."

"Coming!"

Insomnia - Colosseum Entrance

As the small group continued through the streets of Insomnia, Cor eventually led the four children to the Colosseum, the main training ground for the members of the Kingsglaive. As the four children took in the sight of the monstrous structure, Y/n looked over to Cor who simply gave the young boy a smile.

As the small group entered the Colosseum, Y/n's eyes were drawn to the intricate architecture of the massive structure, once again falling behind the others Y/n was purely star struck by the structure which he was standing in. As Y/n found himself essentially cut off from the world around him, the young boy was brought out of his musings by a rather intimidating voice behind him.

"Impressive isn't it."

Spinning around in a rush, the sudden change in Y/n's displacement caused the young boy to fall flat on his back as the owner of the voice offered a hand to help him up while letting out a slight chuckle.

"Crowe, that's enough. No need to intimidate poor Y/n."

"Wait, Cor what's going on? Who are these people?"

"Isn't it obvious Iris? These guys are members of the Kingsglaive! Which means that ..."

Cor simply smiled at the young boy who quickly pieced the pieces of the puzzle together, upon realising what exactly was going on Y/n's eyes lit up like small Christmas trees on a clear moonlit night.

"You mean we're going to be trained by members of the Kingsglave!? The best of the best!?"

"Bingo kid, Cor said you were quick on your feet when he saw you fight in that alleyway I honestly thought he was blowing everything out of proportion."
