Part 6

Astrid's PoV

"But Mom, do I have to watch over Axcel for the entire day? You know I have my own responsibilities to do!" I complained.

"But sweetie Axcel doesn't spend so much time with you, and he misses you so much." Mom said putting my baby brother in my arms.

"But—

"No buts! You spend the day with you brother today. Understood?" Mom's voice become serious and her eyes turned into bright yellow like a dragon's.

I shut my mouth and bit my lower lip with a nod.

"You are not to go to North Point base today and you'll spend the day with Axcel." She added.

I nod again.

"Good, now why don't you take Axcel for a walk in the park as a start? I'm sure you two will have lots of fun." Mom said and kissed mine and Axcel's forehead before leaving with her Gucci designer handbag.

I sighed. Just great. Right after I woke up for a two hour sleep after patrol this is what I get, looking after my baby brother for the whole day.
Mom, Dad, and Aciel aren't around for thry will attend an important meeting with the other higher ups, and since I'm still down to the junior Elite pack I don't get to join them.

I look at the little ash blonde baby in my arms, his big aquamarine eyes look at me like he's seeping into my soul. He somehow resembles me in some features, and this is the first time I get to have an "alone time" with this little bundle.

"Okay lil' bro it's just you and me." I said.

Axcel squealed like he understood what I said and rested his small body on me getting comfortable.

"Hmm...maybe spending the day with you won't be a bad idea." I said and went to his room where I will prepare his stroller and some stuff I might need for the trip to the park. Gotta do mommy's orders or she might skin me alive.

I texted my friends that I'm not gonna be around today because of my situation right now and let my second in command Elsa gather the information about their patrols last night and will report to me after.

After preparing all Axcel need for our day out in his baby bag I strap him on his stroller and we're out.
And since the park is a bit far from here, I asked the family driver to drive us there and not to worry about our transportation going home, we'll just take a cab.

Axcel and I settle on a bench under a shade of a willow tree near the playground where a lot of kids are playing.
I took Axcel in my arms and let him drink some water, I put sunscreen on him and pressed an amount of baby powder on him.

I'm no professional in taking care of babies but this is what I see Mom do to him, I'm just copying her.

"Kyaaaaaa!" Axcel cooed as he play with his pacifier.

"Okay what fun stuff can we do today?" I ask him even though he might not understand what I'm saying.

I sit Axcel next to me in the bench, he can sit on his own now, he can even say words like "Mama" and "Yum-yum" or something like that. He suddenly climbs down the bench with ease and stand on his little feet while holding on to the bench for support.

"Whoa, didn't see that coming." I said holding him on his little arms.

He suddenly started taking few steps while squealing. "Looks like you can walk." I said.

Then an idea pops up in my head.

I pick Axcel up and went to the part of the park where grass grows and let Axcel stand on his own, he can actually stand but can he walk on his own?
