Chapter 2 (Irish Potato)

We all walked out of the cafeteria together, with Niall and Brooke behind us.

"Just look at them, ha. Why do they even try.." Brooke snickered behind us, rambling on about our group. The anger boiled inside of me.

"Brooke that's so mean.. They can most likely hear you," Niall quietly yelled at her. I huffed looking over at Louis who was already turning around.

"As a matter of fact we can. So why don't you just shut your-" Louis yelled.

"Lou! Just leave it!" I cringed at him and stormed off, my feet taking me as far as they could. I finally got towards my my locker, picking out books for my next class.

"Hey, are you alright Sarah?" Niall was sanding behind me, I turned to find his blue eyes peering down into mine.

"Um, yeah I guess bu-ut how do you know my name?" I stuttered, shocked at the whole scenario.

"Well for starters, I'm not selfish enough not to notice other poeples names," He laughed "I know about everyones name in the school," He said proudly with a smile.

I felt my face go hot, and knew I was Blushing, but I couldn't help it... he finally talked to me, and to top that he knew my name.

"I didn't think you were selfish, I actually think you're very sweet," I smiled and blushed even more. His smile grew bigger.

"I'm really sorry about Brooke, i'll get her to come apologize if you want," He said nervously.

"No, it's okay. I think I better apologize to my friends, I overreacted." I sighed, playing with the end of my hair.

"Okay Sarah, that's fine. I don't know why we never talk, you seem like a nice girl. Talk to you later, love," He smiled and walked away.

I couln't wipe away my smile, I finally had a conversation with the boy of my dreams. It may have been 2 minutes but it was totally worth it. I walked into my English class and sat next to Harry and Gorgia in my usual spot.

"I'm really sorry guys, I shouldn't have acted like that. I was so dramatic. Please forgive me," I practically begged.

They both laughed, Gorgia grabbing my hand.

"Oh honey, we aren't mad at you, don't be silly! Don't worry about it," She explained with a smile. I slightly giggle turning to Harry.

"Yeah, none of us are mad at you babe," He smiled.

I was releaved that they weren't mad. We finished English and said goodbye to eachother. As I was walking to my next class I was thinking about how Lou will probably be still mad at me, my smile turned into a frown as I walked into Drama.

"Hey Lou.." I hesitated.

"Hey Sarah," He laughed "What's the matter babe?"

"I just thought you might be mad at me after I yelled at you..." I smirked. Louis laughed and hugged me.

"I could never get mad at this beautiful face now could I? You would drag me back in!" He joked and kissed my cheek.

Louis always knew how to cheer me up, he was known as the 'leader' and 'funny' one of the group.

We both laughed and sat down. Niall was in Drama with us, and he ALWAYS sat with Brooke, but today was different; he decided to sit by himself and ignored Brooke when she called out to him.

Brooke and I had our differences, we have always hated eachother since grade eight. Surprisingly we were best friends.

(FLASHBACK)

"Hey Brooke!" I screamed out to her, she turned smirking at me as her blonde hair flicked around her back. "Are you coming or what!?" I yelled at her while we walked along the pathway to school.

"I heard there's a new girl at school today," She smiled playing with her necklace.

"Did you finish your assignment?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Nope. I'll do it in class," She smirked and gave a sheeky wink. I rolled my eyes at her.

"You're going to get Detention.. Suck it!" I yelled and ran away from her.

(LATER THAT DAY)

"Okay class, one by one I'll call your name out and you will give me your assignment," The teacher announced.

"Hmm, naughty naughty Brooke, " I winked. She giggled drawing in her book.

"Brooke Gowls," The teacher yelled out, Brooke stepped from her seat walking up to the desk.

"Sorry Miss. I didn't finish it," She tried her puppy dog eyes on her but didn't succeed.

"Well that means you have detention untill you finish it Brooke. You are not looking so good on your records young lady, now get working," The teacher explained as Brooke walked away with a sour expression.

Brooke walked to detention and saw a girl sitting on the table throwing paper planes around the classroom.

Hey! What are you doing in here?" The girl yelled at her.

"Obviously in trouble, I've never seen you here before. Are you the new girl that everyone's been talking about?" She questioned.

"Aww, how sweet, everyones been talking about me!" She faked cried and pretended to wipe it away. "What's your name young one. I'm Mandy." She smirked as if she was evil.

"I'm Brooke, and I didn't do my assignment.. How about you? Shouln't you be out there getting to know people?" She smiled unsure of what was happening.

"Well, it looks like I've already made one friend today, how 'bout you hang with me for the day? And I did nothing of your concern," She smiled and threw another paper plane.

"Okay, I guess I could use another friend," She smiled back.

After detention I was wating for Brooke outside her locker.

"You coming slow poke?" I said as she opened her locker.

"Brooke doesn't want anything to do with you anymore, she has more important things to do instead of hanging with rats, let's go Brooke." She said as she linked arms with her. Brooke looked back and kept walking.

I was broken. I had never been bulied before, now I knew how it feels like. She didn't even stop the other girl, Brooke stood there being dragged along like a puppy. How could this happen?

Frienship isn't something that you get, and then throw it away like it's a piece of trash. But that's how I felt, and Brooke didn't even care.
