Chapter 9 (Memories)

Sarah's P.O.V.

He grabbed my hair and tugged making me stand up. Once I stood up he slapped me hard across the face, forcing me to sit back down. I pressed my bloody hand over my cheek where he had hit me. The glass was surrounding me, no where to go. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes, his were full of power and happiness, he was enjoying this. He grabbed my arm and dragged me across to the stairs through the glass, making me wince in pain. He had a smirk plastered against his lips full of enjoyment. He made me stand up. "You shouldn't have told anyone" His voice made me jump. "You will pay. I thought you were smarter than this. Hasn't your mother taught you anything? Oh that's right. She's dead" His words felt like a heavy brick had been placed on my chest, suffocating me. I tried to scream but nothing would come out. No one could help me now, it was too late. He had me, and he wanted revenge for something I didn't do. His eyes pierced right through me, like he was controlling me. He grabbed my hair and tilted my head back, making me scream. He threw my head forward making me roll down the stairs. My face hit the first step with a force which made my face tense up, pain shot through my body as I rolled over at the bottom. I could hear the step creak and I knew he wanted more. He wanted to make my death slow and painful. "Get up you pathetic girl! You disgust me," He grabbed my collar and shook me forcing my head to hit the ground. My head was throbbing, my body was shaking and no words could be spoken. Tears streamed down my face as he stood me up once again. "Get up Sarah! Sarah! Get up! Please!" I heard voices come from his mouth that didn't belong to him. I squinted my eyes but nothing. It was him, but not his voice. Did he drug me? He shook me and kept telling me to get up when I was already standing.

"Sarah, you're having a nightmare" Lea, Megan and Gorgia's faces surrounded me, I felt so much safer that they were around. I jumped up and squeezed them hard. "Thank you for waking me up" I was covered in sweat and panting hard. "My father was killing me in my dream" I cried out. I don't know why I was crying, it was only a dream, a very scary one.

Gorgia brushed my messy hair out of my face and hugged me again. "Everything's okay now. You're safe" I closed my eyes on her shoulder and took a deep breath.

I sat up in my bed just a few hours after the dream but no one was here. I ripped the thin sheet that was covering me and walked over to the door where it had a note attached to it.

'Mornig Sarah. Us girls went to get a few things and bring the boys back with us, get dressed we're going out! Be ready :)' The note read. Ugh, why couldn't they wake me? I stomped into the bathroom where I slithered into the warm shower and sat there for a few minutes. Thinking about stuff. I forgot to take my phone on the date so I don't know if the adoption agency rang me back or not. I hoped out and grabbed my towel and wrapped myself in it. Good thing no one was home so I could just walk out and get my clothes, even if I had a towel.

I rummaged through Gorgia's closet to find something to wear. I finally found a blue flowery dress which was the only thing that would fit me. I slipped on the strapless dress and looked at myself in the mirror, I hated dresses but I personally didn't care what I looked like today. I wrapped my hair up with my towel and let it dry while I slipped on white ballerina shoes, well that's what they looked like. I let my hair down and straightened it. I hated my hair natural it was too wavy. I put some light makeup on and shiny lipgloss, I had no idea what we were doing so if I was underdressed or over dressed it wasn't my fault.

I decided to grab my phone and check if I had any messages, surprisingly I had three missed calls from an unknown number. Possibly the adoption agency, I checked my calls from yesterday and only one of the calls I received today was from the adoption agency. I decided to ring the other number.
