Chapter 11

Kissing Ryder is like nothing I've experienced before. I've never felt this way about anyone before. I mean, I've had a few boyfriends, but Matty was the main one, and I never loved him.

I have a make out scene with Ryder today, and I know Brandon will be watching. That shouldn't bother me as much as it does, but it does.

"Ryder, Erin, come on," Patricia says.

Ryder and I walk over to the set and get ready. Ryder's smiling so hard at me.

"Action," the stage manager shouts and we start rolling.

"Sydney, I'm so glad you showed up," Ryder's character says.

I turn around and face him. "I shouldn't be here," I say.

"Yes, you should. It's your house, too, you deserve to live here more than I do," he says as he steps closer to me.

"I-I don't think that's a good idea."

"Baby, please," he pleads, his raspy voice about to crack.

"Colt, we don't need this pain."

"Please stay. I'll leave."

We stare at each other for a few moments. Then, I start walking closer to him.

"Syd, what're you doing?" He asks.

"I'm just not able to get over you. I've tried to date other people, like Davis, but nobody else is as good as you are. Colton, god, I love you so much," I exclaim.

"Kiss me," he says.

"Okay."

I place my hands on his cheeks. The moment our lips connect, it feels like heaven. For a moment, I feel like I am actually Sydney and Ryder is Colton. I'm forced back into reality when Patricia shouts for us to cut.

When I look up, Brandon is staring at us, speechless. Matty's there too. He's giving me this weird look that confuses me.

"Alright everyone, great work today. We have a promotional autograph signing tomorrow. I need Ryder, Erin, Brandon, Matty, and Bri to stay here for a moment. Everyone else, you're free to leave for the day. See you tomorrow," Patricia states.

The five of us wait for everyone to leave. Then, finally, someone speaks up.

"So what did you need?" Matty asks.

"Well, you all are going to sign autographs tomorrow, so we need to set a few ground rules," Patricia says.

"Rules?" Bri asks, "What, are we two?"

"No, it's just that two of you guys have never done this before, so I need to make sure nothing goes wrong," Patricia says.

"Okay, so make sure you are friendly with everyone. Sign every autograph. Talk to everyone. Don't be rude," Patricia starts, "Do NOT cause drama. Don't be too flirty with anyone of the castmates. Make sure to post pictures on all of your social medias. Also, don't spoil anything about the movie. If you fail to follow my rules, some bad things will happen."

We all nod. Then, Patricia dismisses us for the night. We have to meet back here at 9 in the morning, so we can all ride together to the signing.

Ryder walks me to my car, and then he hops in. He lets out a loud laugh.

"Ryder, what are you doing?" I laugh.

"We needed some alone time," he responds.

After a minute of him just staring at me, he finally leans in to kiss me. As soon as our lips connect, my phone rings.

"Answer it," he says, pulling away.

"But we we-" I start.

Ryder grabs my phone and answers the call.

"This is Ryder. Erin wouldn't answer, but I got her to, so here she is," he says, handing me the phone.

I grab it eventually, and say, "Hey."

"OH MY GOD!" I hear Caitlyn shriek, "Why is Ryder Spence answering your phone at 11 pm?"

"Because we're talking in my car," I quickly say, looking over at Ryder. He notices me looking and shows a little smirk.

"I hate you, oh my god!" she shouts.

"Listen Cait, I'll be home soon. We can talk then," I say as I hang up the phone.

"It's getting late, I need to go home," I state.

"Oh okay," he says calmly, "I'll see you tomorrow." He looks at me for a second, and the next thing I know, he kisses me.

It's not like any of our other kisses, it's hard to explain. It's just a sweet, kind kiss.

After he gets in his own car, I drive to my apartment.

How did I, Erin Addison, ever get so lucky to be with someone like Ryder Spence? Well, not really with him, but close enough. We really need to figure out what we're doing, but I'm terrified to rush into things again, like I did with Matty.
