Chapter 8: Upcoming Chounin exam

CHAPTER 8

Loren's POV

I land at an isolated place in a crouch position, my left hand on the ground. Not standing up, I widened my sensing range to locate the group of Sasuke so that I could get back and erase their suspicion. After a moment, I sensed the chakra signatures that belongs to my targets.

"Bingo" I smirked.

I decided to just wait for them at the nearest playground, as they were taking the path towards there, and sat at the cold metal swing. I watched the moon's elegantness as my pass time until the group arrived. Only Sasuke, Naruto, and Shikamaru were left because the others took different path. Then Sasuke and Naruto were left. They had long passed the playground and I've been tailing them from behind, with me concealing my presence.

"So...are we still taking the Chunin exam?" Naruto asked while his hands are on the back of his head.

"I don't know. I haven't asked Kakashi-sensei about it" Sasuke answered, not even bothering to throw a look at Naruto.

"Hmm...let's just ask him tomorrow I guess" Naruto said as he stops and waved his goodbye to Sasuke.

Now Sasuke's just alone and is now heading to the compound. I started to reveal my presence to him and he seems to notice it because he stopped and turned his head to give me a side long glance.

I waved and jogged but only to stop on his side. I extended my arm at him and smiled. FAKE!

"My weapon pouch please"

He stared at me for a moment before he gave my pouch. I strapped it in my right leg and started to walk to the house. We didn't talk to each other on the way, it's not like I know how to make a good conversation, and I like it this way. Unfortunately, he KNOWS how to create a topic, an awkward topic if I may add.

"Why is your smile so fake?" that's what he suddenly asked.

"...huh?" I looked at him with feigning innocence in my face. HA! Great acting Loren! Note the sarcasm.

"You can't fool me" he said, not removing his eyes on the road in front of us.

"I am not fooling around" I lied as I steadied my eyes at the road in front of us.

He shot me a long side glance then turned his attention back to the road before he 'Hn'ed me.

After that, no one had made unnecessary sound until we reached his house, or OUR house. I immediately went to my room but before I took the first stair, I turned to face him and this time, I smiled timidly yet genuinely at him.

"Good night and thank you for this day...uhm...Sasuke" I saw his eyes widened for a fraction of time and stared at me for a while before he nods and said.

"Yeah...good night"

I immediately went to my room, brushed my teeth and laid down at my bed. I closed my eyes and let my consciousness drift away.

I woke up early but doesn't have the mood to get up, or even open my eyes, because I've been analysing what happened yesterday and my current situation. Yesterday I got arrested by Kakashi and Yamato. They brought me to Lady Tsunade. I told her some of our clan's secret. I remembered my mom. I got stuck with the last Uchiha. We ate Ramen. I did a semi-ritual, and now I'm sleeping at the bed, WAS sleeping at the bed.

After analyzing, I opened my eyes and took a quick bath, afterwards I went down stair to look for foods, OR! Cook foods. I cooked egg, bacon, toast bread and some hot cocoa. I lay them at the table and started to eat my breakfast, of course the Uchiha has his share, and it's one of the rules that I also have to cook for him and vice versa. I finished eating my breakfast when Sasuke came in and notice that he also has some breakfast so he started to eat as I was cleaning my used utensils.
