While it had certainly felt good to let Loki know some of her thoughts, the more days passed and they didn't talk, the more guilty Eir felt for talking to him in such a manner. She kept overthinking it as she imagined that he would never speak to her because he was angry with her. She didn't want to admit it, but that thought terrified her.

Loki was the first person she had actually considered a friend. She cared for him a great deal, that was certain, even if she didn't know to which extent and had no clue whether he cared about her in return. While she had been angry with him at first, now, days later, she wasn't angry with him in any way. She had gotten over their little fight, but she didn't know if the same could be said for him.

The last days she had gotten to the palace she hadn't seen him anywhere. Then again, she mostly spent her time in the library of the palace these last days as she really didn't wish to be around her brothers' friends. She preferred the company of books over their talking.

Every time she got to the palace, she would take the longest route to the library in hopes she would stumble across Loki in the corridors so as to figure out how he felt about the whole ordeal. She felt like confronting him about it. This petty grudge had last for too long in her opinion.

With that final thought in mind, Eir slowly got out of the small pool in her room and started drying herself off with a cloth. She took her sweet time, not bothering to hurry. She didn't see the reason why she should pressure herself to be quick. After all, she didn't have something particularly important to do today.

She got dressed in a midnight blue dress that covered her ankles. It wasn't something too formal but not something too casual either. She was going to go to the palace, her attire was perfect for the occassion.

Brushing her hair, she let it fall to her shoulders even if it had yet to dry. She was sure, by the time she reached the castle, it would be back to normal. With a small smile at her reflection, Eir walked to the balcony and pushed the thin curtains open, allowing more light to get into her room. She completely disregarded the crow sitting on the edge of the railing, seemingly looking at her.

Without a look at her room, she opened the door and got in the corridor. She had let her family know some hours ago that she would be in the palace if anyone needed her so that she could finish the book she had started reading the previous day. It was a rather interesting book about her King's relationship with all the species of other realms. She hadn't managed to read all of it and she was now going back to finish it.

Getting out into the street, she was greeted by numerous people that were now acquaintances of hers on her way to the palace. She smiled and nodded at all of them but remained quiet. She didn't feel like talking.

Nobody paid attention to the crow flying over her head in the vague direction of the palace.

After some time, she finally reached the castle. She headed straight to the library, not even taking the longest route there this time. She wanted to finish that book. Perhaps she would have time to search for Loki after reading her book.

To her surprise, she didn't find a single handmaiden on her way to the library and so her walk had no further disturbances. Finally reaching her desired destination, she pushed the door open, ignoring the sharp sound that was heard, and quickly got inside, closing the door as softly as she could behind her.

She waited until the door made no further sound before turning around, a smile forming on her lips instantly as she glanced at the countless shelves filled with books. Content at the sight, she stole one last look around her before leaving. She strode to a shelf on her right in search of the book she had been reading. She found it after some time, her smile widening as she gently caressed the cover. She looked around and without hesitation sat down on a step nearby that was leading to another section of the library.
