Eir's eyes were sharp as she looked at the three dwarves carefully, her sword raised in front of her, her legs wide to keep her balanced. The dwarves exchanged looks of vague amusement as they watched her. She knew that look. They underestimated her.
The first dwarf moved and she made a sudden slash of her sword - the dwarves body spasmed as it fell down, his head moving down the corridor and coating the floor with blood - Eir willed herself to not get sick, and she just managed to block an attack before twirling out of the way, she moved to the side as the next dwarf moved, slashing her sword at his side before moving on to the next dwarf that came closer. Her limbs were longer and she plunged her sword into his stomach before he could move closer. She took it out with some difficulty, and panting, she looked down at the mess she had caused. With a gulp, she left the corridor with the four bodies in search of the Queen and the handmaidens.
Her dress was restricting her moves tremendously and in her hurry, she almost tripped. She let out a frustrated growl and with no hesitation, she raised her dress and tore the ends, letting the fabric fall to the ground. Finally free, she continued on her way, now able to move quicker than before.
She followed the trail of bodies, and her blood ran cold as she noticed a handmaiden laying on the ground, her eyes wide open, lips parted, blood coating her lips and the side of her cheek. She stepped around her body and went on her way. It didn't take her long to see the Queen.
Frigga walked hurriedly, the Handmaidens running in front of her and a crowd of dwarves were right after them. Eir walked quicker just as Fandral burst from a door on the side of the corridor, blocking the way. The dwarves stopped as he readied his sword, and Eir came to a stop just behind them. She shared a look with Fandral. And with a war cry, she attacked.
She twirled out of the way of a blade as she slashed her sword at one's shoulder and she blocked an attack, her eyes widening as she felt a stinging feeling on her arm and noticed a scratch that was starting to rapidly bleed out. She let out a low growl as she took a step back and leaned down, taking the sword of her previous opponent. She blocked an attack with one sword as she got up once more and she took a rapid step closer, aiming for a dwarf's head. She twirled her blades as another dwarf came, blocking his attack with one sword before plunging the other in his stomach. With her lips pursed, she took the sword out, ignoring the body's thud as it fell to the ground. She looked up, an eyebrow raising coolly as she noticed Fandral gaping at her.
"Not bad, Eir."
She twirled the blades, splashes of blood falling on the floor and walls. "I wish I had my cane."
"I doubt you need it."
She sent him a brief look as she headed down the corridor to where the Queen was. Before she could reach the room she had slipped into, though, Fandral spoke up.
"She's in the same room as the Destroyer. She doesn't need our protection anymore."
She stopped on her way to the room as she tilted her head to the side. "Let's help someone else, then."
Fandral watched her closely as she walked over to him. "You're bleeding."
"It's just a scratch. I'm not good with swords."
"Are you sure about that?"
She briefly sent him a look as they walked quickly through the door Fandral had come from, following the sounds of battle to the throne room, killing any lone dwarf they found in their way. Upon entering the throne room, Eir couldn't help but take a moment to look around her.
The grand hall had become a battlefield, floors and walls tarnished with blood, bodies littered across the floor, some dwarves, others Asgardians. She didn't look at the faces of the bodies until she briefly turned to Fandral, and she recognised someone she knew.
