The Upside Down

When did our world flip upside down?

Where we feel the need to throw insults, to put others down,

Where everyone's words are filled with judgement and hate,

That anyone who dares to stand out would be labeled 'insane'.

We live in a world where dictators rule

With fear, death and guns,

Where people who are different

Are erased in a split second,

Without anyone's concern.

In a world where we are forced to fit in

With society's expectations and labels,

When every single one of us,

Are filled with endless thoughts and ideas within.

In a world where differences are frowned upon,

When they should be embraced

Where diversity will one day be gone,

When conformity is always praised.

In a world of violence and hatred,

Conflict and war,

Where the blood

Is on each of our hands.

This is what the world has come to,

The upside down,

A world of injustice,

Oppression,

Conformity,

Hatred
