"Derek, No"

A few days later.

I gasped for air and looked around. I was so in pain. The pain was killing me.

flashback at Derek's.

I walked into the loft and saw the pack standing around the table. 

Me " you're going after them?"

The pack turned to me. They tensed.

I took a deep breath  "Listen, i'm pretty sure Cora and Derek have told you all the truth about me. Thing is, if you guys really believe that i'd stay with him after everything he made me do then neither of you know me at all. And if i have to proof myself by killing Deucalion myself, then i'll do it"

Boyd "how do we know we can trust you?"

I shook my head "you can't. But Scott can sense it when i lie and when not. Or ask Derek, we were raised together, he can tell when i lie"

Derek "well, that was before the fire"

I took a deep breath "if you are going after them, i'm with you"

Derek looked at me.

Scott " So kill them first, that's the plan? "

Boyd shook his head "They won't even see it coming."

Scott " Why is the default plan always murder? Just once, can someone try to come up with something that doesn't involve killing everyone?

Peter asked him irritated "You never get tired of being so blandly moral, do you? Not that I disagree with him."

Cora nodded annoyed " I do. Why do we need this kid?"

Derek " This kid helped save your life. And you know we can't just sit back and wait for them to make the first move."

Scott shook his head "You can't beat a pack of alphas."

Cora "That's why we're going after Deucalion, just him."

Boyd "Cut off the head of the snake and the body dies."

Me "this is by far no snake, Boyd, this is a fucking Hydra. they are all alphas"

Derek " Deucalion's still the leader."

Peter "Let's hope so. Because you know what happened when Hercules cut off one of the heads of the hydra?"

Scott " Two more grew back in its place."

Peter looked at Scott surprised " Somebody's been doing their summer reading."

Flashback end.

I sat up, holding my side in pain.

Something felt different. Something changed.

I shifted and looked into the mirror.

My heart sunk.

Flashback A the abandoned mal.

Derek and i walked to Deualion. Hew as standing on the escalator.

Isaac and Scott were approaching him from another side. Derek and i shifted.

Deucalion "You didn't come alone."

Scott nodded " Yeah. This is Isaac."

Deucalion shook his head "I'm not talking about Isaac."

Scott "You knew I would do this? Derek, don't. You can't do this so no one gets hurt. If someone else dies..."

Derek pointed at Deucalion " Him. Just him."

Deucalion asked surprised " Just me? Now, how's a blind man find his way into a place like this all on his own?"

Kali slid down the wall. Ennis showed up behind us. The twins started to shift. We all started to attack each other.

Derek went to attack Kali. I tried my luck with Ennis.

I was kicking the than and Aiden but the grabbed my arm and threw me against the concrete. The concrete broke and i coughed.

The twins held me by my throat. Everyone was beaten up.

Kali had Cora under her foot . Boyd was on the ground. Ennis had Isaac and Scott. The twins had me.

Deucalion " Kill him. The others can go. You're beaten. Do it, Derek. Take the first step."

He wanted Derek to kill Boyd. 

Kali asked amused "Are we serious with this kid? Look at him. He's an Alpha? To what? A couple of useless teenagers?"

Deucalion " Some have more promise than others."

Kali" Let him rise to the occasion then. What'll it be, Derek? Pack or family?"

Derek didn't answer. 

Suddenly an arrow hit the twins. It was one of Argent's arrows, the one that exploded and blinded the alphas.

I closed my eyes.

Deucalion ducked " Aah! Aah! Your eyes... cover your eyes!"

the wins let go of me and separated.

I ran up the escalator when suddenly Ennis blocked my way.

Me "Ennis, please"

Ennis "you betrayed us"

I shook my head "i didn't"

Ennis nodded "you did"

He made a step to me but i took one back. Ennis grabbed my arm and twisted it around. I fell to my knees. Ennis went to rip my throat out when suddenly he was pushed off the railing and fell down against the escalator.

 I gasped shocked when i saw my savior. it was the person next to him lying on the escalator, dead.

I cracked out "no, Derek, no"

Then  stood up, sobbed out "oh my god"

Suddenly i heard a growl behind me.

I turned around "Kali"

Suddenly everything went black.
