seeing her in my clothes

made me feel like a million fireplaces had been lit

in my cold, cold, heart

it warmed me from the inside out

and seeing her smile brightened my whole day

but when she saw Ashton her eyes softened in a way I had never seen before

so she carried herself with more grace and the poise of someone

experienced in dealing with these sorts of things

does she know that Ashton mutilates himself?

does she know that the pain he feels is so out of control he needed a way out?

maybe that’s why he kissed her

maybe she completes him

could it be that he’s in love with her?

but the way he looks at her

and the way he seems so out of place

is he trying to let her go?

at the previous practice,

we had planned to write another song

but Ashton had already written one

and it was titled ‘gotta get out’

it seemed so bleak

and so full of promise and unforeseen hope

that we decided we could improve on it

and we did and it has been our best one yet
