The Alpha and the Perfect Fang

The First Night

Josh's POV

I am so happy she agreed to stay, at least for tonight. Even if she doesn't think it this is a big step. I honestly don't know why she is so hesitant to move in with me, kind of like something  is up that she's not telling me, though she'll tell me when she wants to. I am going to make her a delicious dinner tonight to show my already growing love and affection for her. I am going to show her how much I will take care of her, she will not have to walk if she does not want to, if she's injured she will be on strict bed rest with me caring for her 24/7, if she's tired she will not have to lift a single finger. I will treat my mate the way she should be treated, like a queen. I know now that if there's something she wanted me to do that I would do it without hesitation. 

I wrap my arm firmly around her waist protectively leading her to the kitchen to grab her something to eat and or drink. "Are you hungry or thirsty?" "Not really, I mean I am a little bit thirsty" the moment she said that I was laying down every kind of drink I could find in the kitchen and she smiled looking at the drinks then me. In her eyes I could see happiness that I cared for her and that made my heart melt. "I'll just have some apple juice" she smiled and I nodded putting everything else away. I poured her a glass of apple juice and she happily took it. While she drank her juice I watched her walk around the kitchen peering out a few windows. What I found a bit odd was that she was staring head on at the sun and it didn't seem to be hurting her eyes one bit, she was looking at it like it was a picture. 

"Babygirl don't stare at the sun, that'll hurt your eyes" I moved her away from the windows and she shook her head seeming like she was coming out of deep thought. "I'm sorry, that happens a lot" I look at her worried for her health when she smiled softly at me "Don't worry, nothing bad has happened to me" I smiled and hugged taking in her scent calming down. "Alright then"

Maya POV

I really need to be more careful next time. I keep forgetting that I haven't told Josh about being the Blaze Pack princess and next in line. I can't just full on stare at the sun in public watching my pack above. If I keep looking up at the sun then my father will know something is up, he is watching over me after all, though I guess he hasn't seen much since he hasn't called me home. Josh suddenly picked me up bridal style and walked out of the kitchen carrying me to what I assume is the private theater. He set me down on a seat and looked at me. "What's your favorite movie?" "Um, a dolphin's tale" I say and smile. He nods and gets up going to the back of the room to put on the movie. He put in the movie and started it before he left the room. I tilted my head confused as to why he left without saying anything and I could feel a small tug on my heart.

Why did mate leave us?

I don't know but he will come back right? I mean this is his pack and all he did was leave the room

Maybe mate wanted to leave us alone to watch the movie

Maybe but Josh will be back I'm sure, he just left the room and nothing else

I had not known that I was already this attached to Josh. Complaining about when he leaves a room and getting sad when he does. Even Sabrina is worried, she was worried the moment he stepped out of the room. My heart lightened and I smiled as I saw Josh come back into the room holding drinks and popcorn and what looked like a bag of sour patch kids. He smiled at me and came sitting next to me and setting the food and drinks down. He kissed my cheek and I felt my cheeks heat up, no doubt I'm blushing. He chuckled softly and my heart fluttered. He hadn't forgot about us, he had only gone to get snacks. I sighed softly in relief and looked at the screen before squeaking in surprise as I'm lifted out of my seat and set onto Josh's lap. I turned my head to look at him but all he did was smile cheekily and wrap his arms around me keeping me close to him. 

I turned my head back to look at the screen as I popped some popcorn into my mouth leaning back onto Josh. I could feel him smiling as he laid his chin on my shoulder watching as the movie started. He took my free hand and and softly rubbed his thumb over my knuckles being much more gently than I ever thought an Alpha could be when holding someone's hand. I felt him rub his nose on my neck sending shivers down my spine knowing he was inhaling my scent like it was a drug. Though then again I probably will be addicted to his scent soon, as he is already with mine I can tell. I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't notice that the move had ended. Wait, he had been doing this for the entire movie?! I looked around and saw that I had eaten and drank without realizing it. I also noticed that Josh had done the same. Well I guess time flies when you're with your mate 

He gets up and holds me bridal style again. "Where would you like to sleep? You can sleep in my room and I will sleep else where or we can sleep together" I smile and think it over "How about for tonight we stay in separate rooms?" He nods and brings me to what I'm guessing is his own room. 

"This is my smaller room, I have a private house else where on pack grounds but I will feel better knowing that you're in the safety of the pack house" He states nuzzling me softly and I can't help but giggle. I shut myself up because that's not like me to giggle. Actually, now that I think about it, nothing I've done so far has really been like me. Sabrina must be trying to take control. I can keep her tamed inside for now but later I don't think I could. Josh lays me down on his bed and goes to his closet gathering some clothes for him to wear before setting out a large T-shirt. He gave the T-shirt to me before kissing my head and saying goodnight. He then left and I changed into the shirt and got in bed closing my eyes. Today, had been an eventful day.
